Stamping Bella: DOUBLE DOUBLE, Toil & Trouble

Happy Saturday friends! Last month, Stamping Bella had a TOO CUTE TO SPOOK Digital Stamp Release with 9 Fall/Halloween themed sets. Today I"m featuring an adorable witch and cat from the Littles Halloween Characters Digital Stamp Set. I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out with scissors. I then created the living room scene with patterned paper and adhered the images to the card with foam tape for extra dimension.

 

The cauldron with bubbles and the box under the cat are dies from Jaded Blossom. I hand wrote the "Double Double toil & trouble" using a white gel pen. The Happy Halloween at the bottom is from a Jaded Blossom stamp set.

I printed them on Copic Xpress It Blending Card, and colored the scene with Copic Markers. I then went back in and added darker purple and green ink around the edges.

Stamping Bella: MERRY EVERYTHING!

Happy Friday friends! Today, I'm featuring a digital stamp from Stamping Bella called Merry Everything Snowglobe. Aren't those penguins so cute around the snowman? And to top it all off, I made it into a shaker card! 

 

To create the shaker, I printed the image twice. I colored up one image. On the 2nd image I cut around the snowglobe and outer penguin with scissors. Then I used a craft knife to cut around the inside. I glued clear acetate to the inside of the hole, and layered up some foam tape around the perimeter. For the inside shaker bits, I used Doodlebug Design Bitty Bubbles Shakers, and some clear acetate snowflakes from my stash.

Stamping Bella: PENGUIN FAMILY

Happy Wednesday friends! I'm back today for Stamping Bella featuring a digital stamp set called Penguin Family. If you follow me then you know I love penguins just as much as I love unicorns! And this adorable penguin family is having so much fun out in the snow, especially the girl penguin on the left who has rolled her brother up into a snowball, LOL!

 

 

I LOVE that Stamping Bella carries stamps that are complete scenes, because once they are colored up they become the focal point of your card. You really don't need to add anything extra. I placed a black card mat behind the scene, and kept it easy and simple so the image shines on it's own.

Today, I have two cards to share! My first card features Beachabella. This gorgeous girl is all ready for a relaxing day at the beach. I used a digital junk journal page from Etsy for the background scene, and overlayed the sentiment from Beachabella onto the scene before I printed it. Two things that I love about digi stamps and papers: Instant gratification once you've completed the purchase, and the ability to print them as many times as you want and at any size you need. 

 

My next card features Edna and the Manatee. Aren't they so adorable?! I love the sweet hug they are sharing. The background is a digital scene I got off Creative Fabrica with a sentiment from Edna and the Manatee overlayed on top.

Stamping Bella: Rosie and Bernie the Unicorn Postage Stamps

Happy Saturday friends! I'm back today for Stamping Bella featuring a digital stamp set called Rosie and Bernie the Unicorn Postage Stamps. The entire Rosie and Bernie series of digital stamps is my favorite because my nickname is Rosie and I LOVE unicorns! I printed the images on Copic Xpress It Blending Card, colored them with Copic Markers, and then trimmed off the postage stamp edge to create frames. I attached them to a cork board background (created from an old Stamping Bella stamp) with foam tape for extra dimension.

 

 

The sentiment is from another Stamping Bella digital set called Thoughtful Chick. The paper is from Doodlebug Design. 

 

Here is a closeup of Rosie and Bernie so you can see the sparkle I added to Rosie's glasses/shirt and Bernie's horn/mane.

Stamping Bella: SQUIDGY MERMAID

Happy Sunday friends! I'm ending the month of May with a magical card for Stamping Bella featuring the Squidgy Mermaid Digital Stamp Set. I LOVE Stamping Bella images, and I'm so happy they are offering digital stamps!! I printed this adorable girl and the sentiment on Copic Xpress It Blending Card. After coloring her with Copic markers, I used Distress Ink to add the water around the image and Memento Ink for the sand.

 

To add to the whimsy, I attached Doodlebug Design Puffy Icon Stickers. I think the little fish are soooooo cute!

Stamping Bella: ROSIE AND BERNIE THE UNICORN

Happy Saturday friends! I'm back today with this magical card for Stamping Bella featuring Rosie and Bernie the Unicorn Digital Stamp Set! The entire Rosie and Bernie series of digital stamps is my favorite because my nickname is Rosie and I LOVE unicorns! When this series came out in rubber form years ago, I purchased almost all of them. I even took my own "Bernie" on holiday with us exploring Switzerland, Rome, and Slovenia (see photo below)!

 

I printed the image on Copic Xpress It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers. I paper-pieced her dress so it coordinated with the paper at the top of the card. To give Bernie some sparkle, I added Star Dust Stickles to his horn. The stars and dots on Bernie were added using gel pens. I fussy cut the image out with scissors so I could raise it on foam tape. 

 

I printed the sentiment directly to the cardstock. The patterned paper is from an older The Paper Studio paper pad called Cotton Candy and Co (Hobby Lobby). The angled scallop border was created using an old My Favorite Things border die.

 

I'll be coloring up more of Rosie and Bernie over the next several weeks. Like I said, they are some of my fave images!

Stamping Bella: JUNE 2023 MINI RELEASE + FUNDRAISER + SALE!

 I have a special post today. I am guesting for Stamping Bella (one of my fave stamp companies) for their June 2023 Mini Release. This release is a special one dedicated to the previous owner Emily Block-Cohen who passed away from cancer on November 18th, 2022. Today is her birthday so to celebrate Emily, Stamping Bella is having a Mini Release and a SALE!

My first card features Uptown Girl Emily Da Bella. This stamp is a charity fundraiser for the Emily Block Memorial Fund. In order to honor Emily's spirit and passion for art, the Cohen family has established the Emily Block Memorial Fund that will direct proceeds to Art Therapy programs for the children's psychiatry department at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal.  

ALL proceeds from the sale of Uptown Girl Emily Da Bella will be donated to the Emily Block Memorial Fund.

I also used two of the sentiments in the Emily's Sentiment Set. The Celtic Trinity Knot symbol on the card she is holding shows a seated mother with two children and represents the endless, eternal love between a mother and her children. 

My second card features Bundle Girl with Lily of the Valley. I found pictures of some rainbow colored Lily of the Valley and decided to color these up in bright colors. Lily of the Valley and rainbows both symbolize a promise of hope and a return to happiness. I know Emily would wish that for all the people she loved and and cared about. 

The sentiment at the top of the card is another one that is part of the Emily's Sentiment Set.

I Am Roses + Meet Rosie and Bernie

 Happy Wednesday! Today, I'm sharing a card using gorgeous I Am Roses flowers with Stamping Bella Meet Rosie and Bernie. I love this entire line of Rosie and Bernie stamps, and own almost all of them because my nickname is Rosie, and of course I LOVE unicorns!!

I received some new flowers in the mail from I Am Roses which included some Candy Sweet Moon Roses (the large, multi-colored rose in the center). I am in love with these bright, rainbow colored roses! The dark pink cherry blossoms, mint small flowers, and tiny roses and leaves finish off the arrangement. 

 The paper and sentiment are from different Doodlebug Design Paper Pad. I used the Jaded Blossom Scallop Circle Die to create the pink frame around my image.

StampingBella Guest Star Sunday: UPTOWN ZODIAC GIRL SAGITTARIUS

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm back today with my last post as the April Guest for StampingBella. I had an amazing time, and look forward to creating more StampingBella projects throughout the year. A huge THANK YOU to Em, Sandiebella, and all the ladies on the Design Team for giving me this opportunity and being so supportive! It's been awesome!

I love altering those cheap 8x8 wood frames from Walmart and Michaels. I knew when I was collecting the Zodiac Girls that I wanted to customize a frame for each girl. It's going to be a long process, but I can't wait to share each frame when they are finished! Since I'm a December 14th baby, I decided to start with Uptown Zodiac Girl Sagittarius.

Gold Marker

After coloring the image, I painted the 8x8 frame with a couple of coats of Gold Metallic Paint.

 

 I found various zodiac and starry night digital papers on Etsy, and printed them off. Then I cut some 2" x 2" squares and 1.25" x 2" rectangles. I rounded the corners so they fit on the frame correctly. Next I cut out a 3.75" x 3.75" square piece for the center of the frame, and rounded the corners. I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder. Then I added the glittery foam words and stars.

To finish off the altered frame, I raised Sagittarius on foam tape for extra dimension.

For my project today, I decided to create a Diorama. I took an old Chocolate Box and converted the inside to this unicorn scene, adding stamps from Set of Unicorns and Unicorn Sentiment Set and using dies from my stash. The yellow, polka dot trim is ribbon.

This would definitely be my dream world! The Happy Forever words are acrylic sticker letters that I also had in my stash.

StampingBella: Rosie and Bernie UP UP and AWAY!

Happy Sunday everyone! It's Rosie here today sharing another card as Guest Designer for StampingBella! Some of my favorite stamps are from the Rosie and Bernie line....one because my nickname is Rosie, and two I absolutely LOVE unicorns!! When we went on vacation last summer to Europe, I brought a unicorn and took pictures so when I scrapbook them I can use these stamps. :)

For my card today, I used Rosie and Bernie UP, UP,And AWAY. I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored the image with Copic Markers. Next, I fussy cut the image and all the hearts out.

  I knew when I saw this image I wanted to create a scene card, but I also wanted to include the awesome sentiment that comes with this stamp.....so Easel Card to the rescue! The papers are from Kaisercraft Cock-a-doodle Doo paper pad.

 I raised Rosie and Bernie on foam tape. Also, I raise some of the hearts on foam tape and glued the ones further away from the image onto the cloud paper.

StampingBella Guest Star Sunday: Curvy Girl BESTIES

Happy Sunday everyone! I am so excited because I have the awesome opportunity to be a Guest Designer for StampingBella for the month of April!! It's a dream come true! I love all their stamps, and this stamp called Curvy Girl BESTIES is one of my faves. I think they are gorgeous and love how this stamp can be used for so many different occasions.

I colored these ladies to represent me and my bestie. I met her in high school in the late 1980s and we instantly clicked. Over 30 years later, we are still friends, and now live less than an hour away from each other! She is definitely my sista from another mista. I found this wooden friendship sentiment in my stash, and thought it would be perfect for these two ladies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Curvy Girl Besties stamp a couple of times and cut it apart. I distressed the edge of the paper with Black Soot Distress Ink, backed each strip with black cardstock, and raised each panel on foam tape. The two ladies are also raised on foam tape. To finish it off, I added black enamel dots in the corners.
