C.C. Designs: CIRCUS

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week has been great so far! We had another amazing release at C.C. Designs this month...perfect for so many different occasions! You can check out the entire release HERE.

I loved the circus growing up! When I was little we used to save up money, and whenever the circus came to town we would go as a family. So when I saw the Circus Set, I knew I had to recreate a circus scene. I used the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Die with the Shadow Box Theater Add-On to make the shape, and then added the animals inside with the ringmaster on the outside on pop-dots.

 Copics:
Ringmaster Skin: E00, E11, E15
Hair: C3, C5
Hat/Jacket: R24, R27, R29, R39, C5, C7, C9
Pants: C5, C7, C9
Boots: Black Gel Pen
Vest: Gold Pen
Lion: YR21, YR24, YR27, E09, E41, E42, E44
Stand: C5, C7, C9, R24, R27, R29, R39,  Gold Pen
Elephant: C3, C5, C7, R11

I love the dimension of this card! And the great thing is that it does fold flat for mailing. The sentiment at the top is part of the Circus Set and was gold heat embossed.

Can you believe there are only 17 more weeks before Christmas?!! I figure I better start now with the Christmas cards, LOL!

I love this sweet elephant with her cute, little helper! I would take them into my house in a heartbeat....if they were this small and adorable, LOL! I colored this image with Copic Markers and then used white Liquid Applique for the snow.

 Copics:
Elephant: C2, C3, C5

I used papers from Echo Park A Perfect Christmas and Twas The Night Before Christmas 6x6 Paper Pads. The circles were cut out using dies from C.C. Designs. These are the gorgeous flowers I used from I Am Roses:

C.C. Designs: NERDY!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your week has been great so far! We had another amazing release at C.C. Designs this month...perfect for so many different occasions! You can check out the entire release HERE.

Since school is back in session, I decided to pull out an oldie, but goodie! I bought this file called FIRST DAY ENSEMBLE years ago and have made this pencil holder twice. I decided to make it again because it matched perfectly with the C.C. Designs NERDY Clear Stamp and Outline Die Set. I created my own patterned paper by stamping the pencil multiple times on white cardstock and coloring with Copic Markers. To create the tag on the front, I used the Baggie and Tag Metal Die.

 Copics:
Pencil Body: Y13, Y21, YR21, YR23
Pencil Eraser: R02, R05, R08
Pencil Wood: E42, E42
Sharpie Silver Paint Pen

The top of the pencil opens up and you can fill it with pencils or even candy. I went with pencils for this one.

Don't forget to head over to the C.C. Designs Store to snatch up all of these awesome goodies! They are so much fun to color up! And please stop by our Facebook Group to share your creations with us. We would love to see your makes!

TGIF everyone! This week we were back to our school routine, and boy was it a hard hit! We are all exhausted. I need another vacation soon! These new stamps and dies from Stamp Anniething make me long for the gorgeous mountains of Switzerland! One day I want to move where there are mountains.

I created two cards today using several of the new stamps and the mountain die. I LOVE that die!! It's so versatile! My starry sky for both cards was created using Copic Alcohol Ink Refills on Yupo Paper. After the ink dried, I used a paintbrush and splattered white acrylic paint (loosened up with some water) on top to create the stars.

My first card features Camping 2 (sentiment), Camping 4 (girl sitting on rock), and the Mountain Border Die. The Moon was created by cutting out a circle from watercolor paper, and using a gray Zig Clean Color Marker to scribble in random areas. Next, I used a wet paintbrush to swirl the color around.

The mountain panel was cut out from Yupo paper. I added different green Copic alcohol inks to the bottom and spread the inks with a paintbrush dipped in alcohol. Next I added the dark gray Copic Ink to the top of the panel to color the mountains. I raised the mountain/grass panel on foam dots to create some dimension. I colored the girl with Copic Markers and raised her on foam dots also, along with the sentiment.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Green: Yg23, YG25, YG67, G28
Pink: RV04, RV06, RV09
Teal: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
Rock: C3, C5, C7, C9

My next card features Camping 1 (tent), Camping 3 (sentiment and fire), Camping 5 (boy and log), Camping Out Die-Cuts (trees), and the Mountain Border Die. I created the starry sky the same way with alcohol inks on Yupo paper. The mountains were created using black cardstock sprayed with a shimmer spray. I then used some older dies called Under The Sea Dies to create the grass and dirt border at the bottom of the card.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E92, E11, E15
Hair: C3, C7, C9
Shirt/Shoes: B24, B26, B29
Stars/Moon on shirt: Y11, YR21,  YR24
Jeans: B93, B95, B97, B99
Marshmallow: E31, E33, E25
Fire: Y13, YR23, YR68, R39
Logs: E43, E47, E49
Trees: G28, YG97, YG17, YG25
Tent: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, R24, R27, R29, R59, C5, C7, C9

These stamps and dies from Stamp Anniething are so much fun to work with! I loved creating these scene cards! Head over to the Store and grab your favorites!

C.C. Designs: DRAGONS!

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week has been great so far! We had another amazing release at C.C. Designs this month...perfect for so many different occasions! You can check out the entire release HERE.

Today, I used the adorable DRAGONS Clear Stamps and Outline Dies. These dragons have been so popular that they sold out! But more are on the way so keep your eyes peeled! I wanted to create something fairytale-ish, so I used Distress Oxide Inks in different colors to create fun, magical clouds. For a template, I used a MFT Cloud Border Die to cut the cloud shape from cardstock. Then, starting from the top, I just rubbed the ink against the cut-out, changing the ink colors as I moved the cloud shape down.

 Copics:
Pink Dragon: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09
Blue Dragon: B02, B04, B05, B06
Purple: V12, V15, V17, V09

The sentiment is from the same Dragons set. The dragons are raised on foam dots for added dimension. I love how this card came together!

Don't forget to head over to the C.C. Designs Store to snatch up all of these awesome goodies! They are so much fun to color up! And please stop by our Facebook Group to share your creations with us. We would love to see your makes!

Dies R Us: I Am Deeply In Love With You!

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I'm sharing a totally fun Shadow Box Card using several Lawn Fawn products with some cute paper from Echo Park Let's Be Mermaids that I purchased from the Dies R Us Store.

 ++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card.

The first step I did was cut out the two pieces that form the Shadow Box from Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Dies. I used some double-sided Bo Bunny paper for this step. I think it's quicker when putting together the shadow box to use double-sided paper because of course both sides are decorated so no need to cut extra paper. :)

Next, I glued the two pieces together on the folded tabs.

I grabbed some decorative paper from Echo Park Let's Be Mermaids 6x6 Paper Pad and used the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On Dies to create the waves for the inside and top of the card.

I also cut out some seahorses and seashells from one of the sheets to add more decorative elements.

Lastly, I colored up the scuba divers from the Lawn Fawn You Are Sublime Stamp Set and added them to the inside. The sentiment on the banner also came from the You Are Sublime Stamp Set. The whale came from the Ocean Add-On Die Set.

I hope this inspires you to try some dimensional cards soon! I can't wait to make more. These Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies from the Dies R Us Store make it easy peasy!!
