Today, I'm featuring a new stamp set from The Greeting Farm line called THIS WEEK! I love this set and the little critters/monsters are adorable! I love adding them so they are peeking out from different areas on my projects! I cut the center out using C.C. Designs Diamond Metal Die.

I used papers from Echo Park Fashionista 6x6 Paper Pad. That awesome sentiment is from a Ranger Dylusions Stamp Set.

Today, I'm featuring a new line we recently added called Honey Bee Stamps!! The stamps and dies are amazing! I LOVE all of the sets and added a bunch to my collection so you're going to be seeing me featuring these for a while, WOO HOO! With Christmas around the corner, I needed some cute art to display in some 8x10 frames around the house. So I decided to use these adorable birds from the Season's Tweetings Stamp Set to make something cute and simple! This set is HUGE....6x8 and comes with some awesome sentiments! Aren't they adorable!!

  In sticking with the simple theme, I didn't do any shading. I stamped the birds on kraft paper and pulled out my glitter gel pens (that have just been sitting and collecting dust, haha). The sentiment is from the Season's Tweeting set and I just embossed it with gold embossing powder. The patterned paper is from Simple Stories Very Merry 6x8 Paper Pad. I plan on putting this in an 8x10 frame, which I still need to get.

7 Kids Crafting Supply Store: Kinda Cute BAKER GIRL

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are getting some crafty time in this weekend. I've been fighting the flu all week. I still have some congestion, but overall I'm doing so much better...thank goodness! Have you checked out the 7 Kids Crafting Supply Store lately? Today, I'm featuring a new line we recently added called KINDA CUTE by Patricia Alvarez. I'm loving all of her designs! She started off as a digital stamp company and is now offering her digis as CLEAR STAMPS that are exclusive to 7 Kids. We currently have 4 stamps, but more are being manufactured. Be sure to check back as we continue to increase this line. This awesome gal is called BAKER GIRL....I absolutely adore her! She's perfect for so many different occasions. I colored her with Copics, of course. :)

These little winter critters were so much fun to color up! I just love how sweet they are, and how much fun they are having together!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are getting some crafty time in this weekend! I've had a busy one, but I'm loving every minute of it! Y'all know I LOVE me some Yetis!! So I had to have this set from Mama Elephant called Me and My Yeti. I paired it with the sentiments from Mama Elephant called Sentiments from a Yeti. They, of course, go together perfectly!

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for 7 Kids Crafting Supply Store. One of the stamp lines that Kelly carries in the 7 Kids Store is called Mama Elephant Stamps. They are some of my favorite stamps!! On this card, I combined Little Santa Agenda with Little Reindeer Agenda to create a scene card. Aren't they just ADORABLE?!! 

 

I totally love these little characters and animals. They are perfect for all of you journal lovers too! The fabulous snowy landscape, along with the house and tree are part of Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Backdrop Landscape Die (the landscape version is sold out, but the PORTRAIT DIE is still available).

7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Story: Happy Birthday featuring Mama Elephant!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are getting some crafty time in this weekend! We have a long weekend here in the U.S.A. so I'm hoping to get some coloring time in today and tomorrow. I live in Texas (not close to the hurricane area), but we are experience gas shortages around our area so any big travel plans are put on hold for now.

As many of you know, the Houston area and their surrounding cities and towns were hugely affected by Hurricane Harvey. What you may not know is that Kelly, the owner of 7 Kids, had a huge house fire a few years ago and experienced a huge loss herself. She knew when she saw what was happening in Houston that she wanted to give back and help support relief efforts for those going through loss now.

One of the stamp lines that Kelly carries in the 7 Kids Store is called Mama Elephant Stamps. They are one of my favorite lines!! Today I used Little Girl Agenda and Little Boy Agenda and paired these adorable mini kids with the C.C. Designs A2 Circle Cut and Stitch Die. The little boy and girl stamps fit perfectly in the holes of this die! I think they are so cute popping out of the holes!! I stamped all of the characters on X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with Copics. The great thing with these stamps is that you can use any coloring medium. They are so small that you don't even need to do any shading.

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Happy Birthday To You. I LOVE this sentiment set!! It has both quotes and single line sentiments that are all perfect for those birthday celebrations. With one set, you can add a happy birthday to the front of your card, but also have a longer sentiment to go on the inside of you card or on the bottom portion of an easel card.

One of the stamp lines that Kelly carries in the 7 Kids Store is called Vilda Stamps. They have the cutest gnomes and mushroom houses, along with other whimsical characters. My Christmas card today features a gnome and a couple of ornaments from the Vilda Stamp Christmas 2011 Stamp Set. I colored this cutie with Copic Markers. 7 Kids just recently added more Copics to the store!

I used some Christmas paper from Echo Park. It's not in the store, but the new Echo Park papers will be arriving soon! 

The green ornaments at the top of my card were made using stamps in the Vilda Christmas Stamp Set. I embossed them in gold on some patterned paper, cut them out and added pop-dots behind them.

7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store: Cas-ual Fridays Mermaids

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend so far! Today, I'm sharing a card for 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store using these beautiful mermaid silhouettes from the Cas-ual Fridays Mermaids Clear Stamp Set. Aren't they gorgeous?! I can see so many uses for this stamp set. I've got some ideas flowing...I just need to find the time to do them!

The first thing I did to make this card was create the under-the-sea background. I used several Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks: Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, and Seedless Preserves. I used a sponge applicator and swirled my colors all over the watercolor paper. After I achieved the look I was going for, I took a wet paintbrush and tapped it against a pen to get wet splatters all over. Then I took some paper towel and dabbed up the ink.

For the mermaids, I stamped them onto the left over pieces of my watercolored paper with Versamark, and then heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder. I then fussy cut them out and attached them to my card with pop-dots.

7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store: Impression Obsession Riding Pretty

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend so far! Today, I'm sharing a watercolor card using the gorgeous Impression Obsession Riding Pretty Stamps. I LOVE this set!! It's so versatile and can be used for so many different occasions.

 

7 Kids Your Crafting Store has an awesome selection of Impression Obsession stamps and dies HERE. You are going to love this line!

To achieve this look, I first stamped my image and sentiment with Versamark, and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then watercolored the image using the awesome metallic ink pans from Prima Marketing Metallic Accents. I LOVE these! The colors are very vibrant, and add a really pretty shimmer to the image.

These are the gorgeous metallic colors in the set.

Here is my card put together. I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die to cut out the image. To achieve the cloud background, I cut a piece of cardstock using a cloud border die, lined it up over my paper, and rubbed blue chalk along the edge. As you move the cardstock down, you shift it to the left or right and rub more chalk over it until you get your desired effect. The green bottom is Distress Oxide Ink.

I've been on a mermaid kick lately, probably because it's summer, and I want to be laying on a beach somewhere with clear, blue ocean water....YES, please! 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store: DoCrafts Gorjuss AWASHED

I don't usually do a lot of watercoloring, but since I purchased these awesome metallic ink pans from 7 Kids called Prima Marketing Metallic Accents, I've been doing some under-the-sea backgrounds. These paints are so amazing!! The colors are pretty, bright, shimmery, and perfect for so many different applications. On this card, I'm featuring the fabulous little mermaid from DoCrafts called Gorjuss #31 AWASHED. She's colored with Copic Markers. I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker all over her tail and hair. I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die to cut out a frame on the background piece. I then raised that piece on some craft foam for added dimension.

7 Kids Your Crafting Store: Under the Sea Watercolor Background Tutorial

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having an awesome weekend so far! It's Rosie here today sharing a tutorial on an under-the-sea watercolor background I made for a recent card on my blog.

I used these awesome metallic ink pans from Prima Marketing Metallic Accents. I LOVE these! The colors are so pretty and bright and versatile for so many different applications!

These are the gorgeous metallic colors in the set.

I start of with a wet paintbrush and add water along the bottom edge to make the coral or seaweed.

 I used this pretty green. You have to add quite a bit of water to the pans and mix to activate the paint.

 I then go over the wet lines of the design with the metallic watercolor and just freehand the parts that branch out.

I use a heat gun to speed up the drying process.

This is the metallic blue I used for the water.

I wet the paper first at the top and then add the blue to the wet areas so the color spreads easier.

You can see the pretty shimmer in this photo.

Here's another view. I would go over the green one more time just to darken it some more.

These metallic watercolors are also vibrant on dark cardstock! I use the paintbrush to do a little calligraphy to show you how awesome they really are on the black! I've got so many ideas for these fabulous ink pans.
