7 Kids College Fund Challenge~Anything Goes + Markers!

This DT term we are revamping the challenges at 7 Kids College Fund in hopes that more people will get involved. All challenges will now be ANYTHING GOES with a twist. The twist is optional, but we hope you will take the opportunity to join in on the twist to develop your marker skills and increase your use of the incredibly popular vintage products now available.

The current twist is MARKERS
So pull out your favorite markers and get to coloring! :)

Keep in mind that in order to qualify for any prizes or Top 3, you must:

1) Use a stamped image carried in the 7 KIDS STORE, or, if your project does not have a stamped image, the primary elements (dies, paper, punches) must be carried in the store.

2) Link to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog in your post.

For my card today I used some newly released CHA items currently on pre-order in the 7 Kids College Fund Store! First up is my image from La-La Land Crafts called Steampunk Marci!! Apparently, steampunk is all the rage right now and I'm a little slow jumping on the bandwagon. It's not really my thing...or at least that's what I thought! I'm actually kind of liking it now!!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Hat/Jacket/Top of Skirt/Leggings: E41, E42, E43, E44
 Black: N2, C5, C7, Black
Red: R39

For my card I used some awesome dps from Carta Bella WELL TRAVELED 6x6 Paper Pad. I also used the La-La Land Crafts Steampunk Corner Die....LOVE IT!! I distressed the dp edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Here are the links to make your shopping in the STORE easier!

This challenge ends on August 13th so I hope to see you all entering your cards at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!

Have a great rest of the week!

Then I stamped the gumdrops, but them out and raised them on pop-dots. The dp is from Recollections and available at Michaels. The Filigree Corner Die is from La-La Land Crafts.
For my 2nd card I stamped the various cake layers on top of each other. I then raised it on pop-dots on top of a BoBunny Doily. I used some dps from The Paper Stack by Crafts Beautiful. The sentiment also came from The Paper Stack. The heart banner is from La-La Land Crafts. The ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you have a great week!

Travel Frames and Shapes Kit
Check out those new FRAMES & SHAPES Kits!! I see these popping up on my cards and mixed media creations soon!! Like I said, I'm loving this entire release!!

Now let's get on with the show! Today I'm showcasing the Dragon and lots of things from the Steampunk line. Harness: R22, R24, R27, R29

Now, I'm not really a steampunk kind of person, but after playing around with this new line I'm kind of liking it. I started with Steampunk Marci and colored her with Copics.

Copics:

Here's my Steampunk Shadow Box all decorated up. I used a black sharpie to color all the box parts (so much easier than painting). I found some awesome Metallic FolkArt paint at Walmart and used Pure Gold and Antique Copper to paint the Cogs & Heart Corners that came with the shadow box. The gears around the heart corners are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sprocket Gears. I added Stickles to the top of the metal gears also. The dps are from Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells Collection 8x8 paper pad.

On the inside of the shadow box, I used the Steampunk Corner Die and Steampunk Heart Cogs Die (Set of 3). The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous FLIGHTS OF FANCY stamp set.

Here's a side view so you can see the dimension.
Be sure to head to the LLLC STORE to snatch up all the new product before they sell out! For my card today I used Paris Lucy!! I had so much fun coloring this image!!! I can't wait to get to the other ones. I should have colored Seattle Chloe since I'm visiting my mom in WA State, but I had dps to match Paris Lucy, haha! Plus who wouldn't want to go to Paris?!!

Baby Boo's Shower Hop from The Greeting Farm!!

Hello y'all!! Hope you are having a great week so far! I'm back today for a special Baby Shower Hop for our amazing leader over at The Greeting Farm, Jessica Diedrich!! She's an amazing woman and friend and I'm so honored to be a part of this special hop to celebrate her and her soon-to-be arriving little girl!

To celebrate Baby Boo, Marie is generously giving away a Onesie Die Set to one lucky hopper, Woot, Woot,,

Here's the blog hop order!

ROSIE BRIDGES (you are here)
MARIA THERESE HATLOY

For my project I altered a wooden shadow box from Walmart. I painted it with FolkArt Pink Rouge Pearl Paint (it has a shimmer to it). Then I cut out a white piece of card stock and glued squares of patterned paper to it. Most of the dps are from Carta Bella Giddy Up 6x6 paper pad. I distressed all the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The sentiment is from Cloud 9 Design Simple Thoughts-Baby.

I colored up the baby girl Anya from the Baby Anya and Ian Set. The circle chipboard frame is from Recollections. I painted it pink with the pearl paint so it would match. Since I don't know baby boo's name yet I just put the word "love" in the spaces. I'm also going to go back and add some embellishments to the outside part of the frame since I didn't bring a bunch of that stuff to my mom's house. So it's still a work in progress!
Now don't forget to head to Peggy's Blog next!!

Have a great Thursday!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~Anything Goes + VINTAGE!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Two weeks have already passed (and quickly I might add) so that means we have a new challenge starting over at 7 Kids College Fund! The challenge for the next 2 weeks is:
Anything Goes + VINTAGE!!

Just remember, to qualify for the $20 gift certificate you have to use a stamp carried in the store!
For my card today I used La-La Land Crafts COWBOY LUKA. Now that I'm in Texas I had to get both the Cowboy and Cowgirl stamps....YEE HAW! I just like saying it, haha! I stamped him on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with COPICS!
 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Hat/Shirt/Rope: E41, E42, E43, E44
Horse: E43, E44, E47, B000, B00
Short: C3, B00, E47, E41
Hat Trip/Bandana: C3, E43, B00
I have a hard time with vintage....just not really my style because I like bright colors. But Rhea said to just distress the heck out of all the papers so I took my scissors and scraped the edges and then used Walnut Stain Distress Ink all over the place. I hope with all the browns and light blue it's vintage enough. :)
Supplies from 7 Kids College Fund STORE:

Hugs,
Rosie :)
