I Am Roses: Words And Ideas Can Change The World Altered Wood Frame

Happy Tuesday Friends! Today, I'm showcasing my latest project for I Am Roses featuring their beautiful paper flowers. I've been on a kick lately altering various things from the Dollar Tree. I had this plain wood shadow box frame lying around along with a Dollar Tree paper pad that has various quotes in it. I decided to combine the two to create this hanging home decor piece.

I added a large green rose in each corner, followed by white cherry blossoms, some brown edged flowers, S10m green small flowers, and tiny green leaves

We will have a new "Anything Goes" Challenge coming up on February 15th for a chance to win some awesome IAR flowers! You just have to use a minimum of 3 I Am Roses products on your card to qualify for one of the prizes!

Hugs,
Rosie

Today, I made something other than a card. I've been on a kick lately altering wood home decor items. I had this plain wood shadow box frame lying around so I decided to make use of it. I painted the frame pink, and inserted paper from Doodlebug Design.

To step it up a notch, I added gorgeous IAR flowers to both corners. The large flower is the R-43 Peony. I then added S3 white cherry blossoms, S10 pink two tone flowers and extra small S10 white flowers. I bought the pink and white wood beads off of Amazon.

Jaded Blossom: GNOME WORRIES, BEE HAPPY!

Happy Friday friends! I'm back today for Jaded Blossom sharing a home decor piece I created. Tier trays are all the rave and it's so much cheaper to make your own little shadow box frames and signs using stamps and dies you already own. These little wood frames make awesome gifts for friends and family too!

I used digital paper for the honeycomb background. The stamp is from the GNOME WORRIES BEE HAPPY Stamp Set. I stamped it directly on the paper and used a black marker to color in the words GNOME and BEE and the stripes on the little bees. Then I stamped the gnomes 3 times and colored them, fussy cut them out, and added them with foam tape for extra dimension.

I found these cute chocolates I think at Target (I can't remember now) and they were perfect for this project. I did find some cute little bee embellishments to glue inside at the bottom of this shadow box frame, but they didn't arrive in time so I'll have to add them later.

Remember, Jaded Blossom has a current ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE. You have until JUNE 4th to play along for a chance to win a free stamp set! And, be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store for all your stamps and gift giving supplies. They have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.

Polka Dot Orchard: CALLING ALL REINDEER

Happy Sunday everyone! Today, I'm sharing an altered wood frame using Polka Dot Orchard CALLING ALL REINDEER Digital Stamp Set. This frame came together quickly and guess what.....there was no coloring involved! The inside of this frame is 4 5/8 x 4 5/8 so those are the dimensions of the red buffalo plaid paper. I then copied and pasted the deer image into Word and resized it to 4.30" high to 4.48" wide.

Here is what the original frame looked like. I think I bought this in the dollar section at Target. I loved that it had the beads at the top already, but I knew I wanted to alter it.

When I saw the reindeer silhouette, I knew it would be perfect for the inside. I fussy cut it out and then raised it on foam tape for some extra dimension.

Please come share your creations with us on the Friends of Polka Dot Orchard Facebook Page so we can Ooooh and Ahhhh over them!  Have a great Sunday!

Today I altered an 8x8 wood frame. The amazing digital mermaid is from The Greeting Farm. This was an exclusive mermaid as part of the Mystery Boxes releases. I printed her on Xpress It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Hair: V04, V15, V17, BV08
Pink: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09
Teal: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
Purple: V12, V15, V17
Tail: V15, BV08, RV04, BG13, Gold Sharpie Paint Pen

I received a goodie box from Xyron which included the Mega Runner, X150 Sticker Maker, along with refills. This Xyron Bundle is an awesome deal, and....the items are sparkly blue! I LOVE them! The adhesive on the Mega Runner is AMAZING and really sticky! I used it to adhere the 2x2 squares to the frame. I ran the 1.25x2 rectangles through the sticker maker which makes adhering the decorative paper so much easier!

I added gorgeous flowers from I Am Roses to finish off the card. They really add a dramatic statement to any project! I used some gorgeous unicorn roses, along with cherry blossoms, small flowers, and tiny leaves.

Remember, you have until JUNE 8th to link up your project. Be sure to use a minimum of 3 I Am Roses products on your card to qualify for a prize. I can't wait to see what you make!

StampingBella Guest Star Sunday: UPTOWN ZODIAC GIRL SAGITTARIUS

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm back today with my last post as the April Guest for StampingBella. I had an amazing time, and look forward to creating more StampingBella projects throughout the year. A huge THANK YOU to Em, Sandiebella, and all the ladies on the Design Team for giving me this opportunity and being so supportive! It's been awesome!

I love altering those cheap 8x8 wood frames from Walmart and Michaels. I knew when I was collecting the Zodiac Girls that I wanted to customize a frame for each girl. It's going to be a long process, but I can't wait to share each frame when they are finished! Since I'm a December 14th baby, I decided to start with Uptown Zodiac Girl Sagittarius.

 Copics:
Skin: E50, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: Black, C7, BG13
Dress/Boots: BG10, BG32, BG34, BG72, BG75, BG78
Gold Marker

After coloring the image, I painted the 8x8 frame with a couple of coats of Gold Metallic Paint.

I found various zodiac and starry night digital papers on Etsy, and printed them off. Then I cut some 2" x 2" squares and 1.25" x 2" rectangles. I rounded the corners so they fit on the frame correctly. Next I cut out a 3.75" x 3.75" square piece for the center of the frame, and rounded the corners. I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder. Then I added the glittery foam words and stars.

To finish off the altered frame, I raised Sagittarius on foam tape for extra dimension.

Be sure to head over to the StampingBella Store and grab your Zodiac girl....you're going to love her! These gorgeous girls are versatile for so many different occasions.

Have a great Sunday!

C.C. Designs Newsletter Project: Roberto's Rascals Puppy Power!

Happy Thursday everyone! Have you seen the New Release at C.C. Designs? Oh my word, I LOVE it all!! I don't even have a dog or puppy, but I can't get enough of the stamps and dies! They are so CUTE and so much fun to play with!

To showcase the stamps and tons of dies released this month, I decided to alter an 8x8 Wood Frame. I love making these frames, and they allow me to add a ton of stuff to them. I used two puppies and a sentiment from Roberto's Rascals Puppy Power. The puppies are peeking out of the middle area, haha!
Copics:
Puppies: E41, E42, E43, E44, C2, C3, C5, R11

I used a ton of the new dies on this project. The Heart Banner Metal Die is showcased in the top right corner. I used the letters from the Alphabits Clear Set to stamp the word PUPPY on the banner. Then I used one of dies from the Spinners Metal Die set to cut the wavy white line. I put the white wavy cut-out under my acrylic block and then shaped the stamp on top of the block so it would line up. That's the great thing about clear sentiment stamps....you can curve them. :)

The love banner was made using the small diamond shape from the Diamond Metal Dies. I used the Love Word Metal Die for the letters on the banner. To finish it off, I added the die-cut puppy and dog house from the Puppy Accessories Metal Die Set at the bottom of my frame. The sentiment inside the dog house is from the Puppy Power Clear Set. The longer sentiment inside the frame is from Penny Black.

The cute digital papers are called Puppy Love and purchased from Etsy. After I cut out my paper pieces, I like to run them through my Xyron Sticker Maker so I get a quick and even amount of adhesive on the back. It makes the assembly process so much faster!

Now be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Store to snatch up all of the awesome stamps and dies for your collection!

Hugs,
Rosie

LDRS Creative: LOVE THAT DRESS Altered Frame

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm back today sharing one of my favorite projects using this gorgeous stamp from All Dressed Up called Love That Dress. She's stamped on Cryogen White Cardstock, and colored with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Skin: E51, E11, E13, E15
Hair: C3, C7, Black
Blue: BG10, BG72, BG75, BG78
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker

I LOVE altering these cheap, square wood frames from Walmart. They really make awesome gifts! I found this gorgeous decorative digital paper on Etsy. I then cut 2x2 squares and 1.25x2 rectangles from the paper to go around the frame. My old corner rounder came in the handy for the corner squares. I then run my paper through my Xyron Sticker Maker so I get them all covered in adhesive in one swipe, haha! EASY PEASY!

I used the Dotted Wings Die Set for the butterflies on the corner squares. The blue flowers were made using a die in the Fancy Squares and Little Things Die Set.The awesome sentiment is from one of my favorite sets called Uptown Sayings. I added elements from the Love That Dress Stamp Set around the sentiment to spruce it up. And of course, you can't be fabulous without some pearls!

I hope you get a chance to make your own altered frame using the amazing stamps, dies, and embossing folders in the LDRS Store!!

Hugs,
Rosie

LDRS Creative-Rosie Bear Altered Frame

TGIF everyone! It's Rosie here to share one of my altered frames using this adorable stamp from CandiBean called Rosie Bear! This stamp along with the dies I used on the frame were recently released in the LDRS Store!! Sometimes I like to take a break from the Copic coloring. So to change things up, I actually stamped the image on different pieces of cardstock and patterned paper and paper-pieced the entire image. The darker shading was done with chalk. :)

I love buying these cheap 8x8 wood frames from Walmart or Michaels and altering them. It doesn't take much to transform them into something completely different....just some 2"x2" squares and 1.25" x 2" rectangles.

The sentiment is from the Just Because Sentiment Set. I used the Majestic Rectangle Labels Die Set to make the frame around the sentiment. The larger frame that borders the sentiment is the Majestic Frame Die. It's so gorgeous!!

I hope you enjoyed my altered frame! It's amazing how a plain piece of wood can be transformed by using various paper products. Be sure to check out all the amazing stamps, dies, and embossing folders in the LDRS Store!!

Hugs,
Rosie
