La-La Land Crafts HALLOWEEN New Release~DRAGON LUKA!

Happy Monday everyone! Today starts a SPOOKTACULAR week at La-La Land Crafts showcasing the NEW HALLOWEEN Stamps, Dies and Frames & Shapes…WOOT, WOOT!!

In this new release we have 4 new stamps, 3 new dies and 1 new Frames & Shapes Set. The new stamps include: Dragon Luka, Calderon Witch Marci, Bat Girl Marci, and Scarecrow Marci. I decided to make a Halloween Frame using a cheap, wood frame from Walmart. I used a Black Sharpie to color the wood frame. Then I cut squares of paper a little less than 2 inches x 2 inches and the smaller strips are 1.25 inches x 2 inches. The papers are from Recollections Haunted Estate 12x12 paper pad and K&Company Tim Coffey Halloween 12x12 paper pad.

I used 2 new LLLC Dies. In the corners I used Spiderweb Corner and behind the word BOO I use the Spiderweb Border (I used 3 border strips). The bats and the circle frame are from the new Halloween Frames & Shapes Kit.

7 Kids College Fund~You Are My Boy!

Inspiration Monday~Buttons!

We have a new Inspiration Monday Challenge for La-La Land Crafts starting today! The theme this week is:

I was inspired by a card that Dina Kowal made back in December. She used a colorful bird image, but my favorite part of the card was how she looped twine through several buttons along one side. You can see her amazing card HERE.

The dps are from Authentique. I used the new Heart Doily Border Die. The buttons and twine were in my stash. The pearls are from Recollections. I distressed the paper edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and raised Marci on pop-dots.

Top Hat Steampunk Marci for 7 Kids College Fund!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday....unless you're me and then it's TIRED Monday because school starts today for my little guy (and we are not morning people)!! 

I'm back today to share my latest creation for 7 Kids College Fund. Don't forget you still have today to enter our current challenge of Anything Goes with the twist "VINTAGE" over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.

For my card I used some newly released CHA items currently on pre-order in the 7 Kids College Fund Store! First up is my image from La-La Land Crafts called Top Hat Steampunk Marci. She's stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copics.

On my card I used some awesome dps from Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells 8x8 paper pad. On the corners I used La-La Land Crafts Steampunk Corner Die. I distressed the edges of my dps with Black Soot Distress Ink. The edges behind Marci were stamped with Wild Honey Distress Ink.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~Anything Goes + VINTAGE!

 

This DT term we are revamping the challenges at 7 Kids College Fund in hopes that more people will get involved. All challenges will now be ANYTHING GOES with a twist. The twist is optional, but we hope you will take the opportunity to join in on the twist to develop your marker skills and increase your use of the incredibly popular vintage products now available. 

The current twist is VINTAGE! 

According to my fellow DT sister Kelly, Vintage is easy! Just age your image darker and tear some papers or burn the edges (or distress them with ink) and your done.

Keep in mind that in order to qualify for any prizes or Top 3, you must:

1) Use a stamped image carried in the 7 KIDS STORE, or, if your project does not have a stamped image, the primary elements (dies, paper, punches) must be carried in the store.

2) Link to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog in your post.

The corner die is from La-La Land Craft's CHA Release and is called Decorative Corner (set of 2).

7 Kids College Fund~Don't be afraid to DREAM Big!

Happy Monday everyone! So glad you joined me today as I share my newest card using some newly release CHA items that are on pre-order in the 7 Kids College Fund Store!

For my card today I used a super cute The Greeting Farm stamp called CHARLOTTE CHIC! I think she's super versatile and a great addition to your stamp collection. She's also easy and fun to color! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics. I even made the flowers on her headwrap and shirt (that's not paper-piecing folks). :)

Now let's get on with the show! Today I'm showcasing the Dragon and lots of things from the Steampunk line. First up is my card using the Dragon, Decorative Corners Die, Heart Doily Border Die, and the Booktab and Labels Die. The sentiment is from Steampunk Marci. My paper are from American Crafts Color Crush.

Now, I'm not really a steampunk kind of person, but after playing around with this new line I'm kind of liking it. I started with Steampunk Marci and colored her with Copics.

Here's my Steampunk Shadow Box all decorated up. I used a black sharpie to color all the box parts (so much easier than painting). I found some awesome Metallic FolkArt paint at Walmart and used Pure Gold and Antique Copper to paint the Cogs & Heart Corners that came with the shadow box. The gears around the heart corners are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sprocket Gears. I added Stickles to the top of the metal gears also. The dps are from Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells Collection 8x8 paper pad.

 

On the inside of the shadow box, I used the Steampunk Corner Die and Steampunk Heart Cogs Die (Set of 3). The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous FLIGHTS OF FANCY stamp set.

The ribbon is from Michaels. The sentiment comes with the Christmas Ornament Luka Stamp Set.
