Polka Dot Orchard: HAVE A PAW-SOME HALLOWEEN!

Happy Saturday everyone! Polka Dot Orchard has a NEW RELEASE so today I'm sharing a Halloween card featuring one of their newest digi sets called Paw-Some Halloween. I am LOVING the new sketchy designs, and this dog is so awesome!

I  printed the image and sentiment on Xpress It Blending Card for a one layer card. After coloring everything, I decided to add some die-cut spiders and drew in white eyes and web string. I also added white to the sentiment so it would pop more.

I'm excited to be sharing cards using Polka Dot Orchard images again. Polka Dot Orchard: SUNSHINE OF LIFE

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm back today sharing a Polka Dot Orchard card using this gorgeous coffee mug image and sentiment from the Sunshine of Life Digital Set. My friend said she loved the colors so much and she wished there really was a coffee mug like this, and I have to agree! I'd buy it in an instant! I hope we all try to be a rainbow is someone else's cloud.

I copied and pasted the mug into MS Word, and adjusted the size to make it a little bit taller. I then overlaid the sentiment in the top right corner of the mug. After coloring, I fussy cut the image out. The paper is from Doodlebug Design. I added a ribbon bow to the top and raised the image on foam tape for some dimension.

Today, I'm using a digital image from Polka Dot Orchard called Beauty Shines Brighter. This image is illustrated by the daughter of the owner of PDO. I LOVE it and think Christina is very talented! 

 

 

The paper is from my stash. To finish off the card, I added gorgeous red and white flowers from I Am Roses, along with some satin ribbon. They really add a dramatic statement to any project!

This set is really versatile and perfect for a funny birthday card! I colored the digis with Copic Markers. Then I used a stencil and Distress Oxide Ink to create the splatters.

Polka Dot Orchard: CALLING ALL REINDEER SHADOW BOX

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm so in love with the Polka Dot Orchard CALLING ALL REINDEER Digital Stamp Set that I created another Home Decor item, but this time I went even bigger! I found an awesome 12x12 Shadow Box Frame at Walmart and created this for one of my friends. She always gifts me something at Christmas and I rarely make anything for her.....I'm awful! But now that I live closer to her, I can just drive up the street and drop this off as a surprise!

I found the 12x12 background paper and small jingle bells at Hobby Lobby. I printed the image close to 8 1/2 x 11 and fussy cut it out. Then I just glued it to the buffalo plaid paper. To finish it off, I added the red jingle bells to the inside of the frame and then placed the paper and frame backing on and voila....my project was finished.  This project came together really quickly!

Polka Dot Orchard: OH HAPPY DAY!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is a happy day indeed as it's my hubby's BIRTHDAY! WOOT WOOT! He is such as an amazing man, and I'm truly blessed I get to do life with him. So today I will be celebrating him and all the joys he brings to my life! 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!!

I created this birthday card for him using Polka Dot Orchard's OH HAPPY DAY. It's part of their Say It Slim Digi line and is designed to fit a slimline card. I reduced the size and used it for the center panel of my card. That's the great thing about digital stamps. You can resize them to fit your needs!

My hubby's favorite color is blue so I went with mostly blue on his card. I raised the middle panel on foam tape for extra dimension. It's a pretty simple card and came together quickly. He LOVED it!

Polka Dot Orchard: CALLING ALL REINDEER

Happy Sunday everyone! Today, I'm sharing an altered wood frame using Polka Dot Orchard CALLING ALL REINDEER Digital Stamp Set. This frame came together quickly and guess what.....there was no coloring involved! The inside of this frame is 4 5/8 x 4 5/8 so those are the dimensions of the red buffalo plaid paper. I then copied and pasted the deer image into Word and resized it to 4.30" high to 4.48" wide. 

Here is what the original frame looked like. I think I bought this in the dollar section at Target. I loved that it had the beads at the top already, but I knew I wanted to alter it.

When I saw the reindeer silhouette, I knew it would be perfect for the inside. I fussy cut it out and then raised it on foam tape for some extra dimension.

With a different sentiment it would even work to let people know they've been poopy towards you, LOL! Unfortunately, I've had some people be kind of poopy towards me this year so maybe I should make some cards and mail them, hahaha!

Today, I went with a bright yellow and pink color scheme using some Lisa Frank inspired digital papers from Etsy. I'm not usually a yellow person, but I figured we could all use a little sunshine in our lives right now! This adorable girl is from a digital set at Polka Dot Orchard called MAKE TODAY HAPPY. She definitely makes we want to get up and dance! I printed her on Xpress It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.

I created this slimline scene using various elements included in the set. The pink scallop border was made using the Jaded Blossom Slimline Die Set.

Today, I challenged myself to create a card using colors outside my comfort zone...orange and yellow. I usually love working with bright colors, but orange and yellow together are not my normal thing. However, I felt they went perfectly with this gorgeous digital stamp from Polka Dot Orchard called FEEL BEAUTIFUL TODAY. I printed her on Xpress It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.
