I Am Roses + Conie Fong Christmas Lights Gnome

Happy Sunday friends! I'm ending the month of July with my final "Christmas in July" card using this fabulous guy called Christmas Lights Gnome with beautiful paper flowers from I Am Roses.

The decorative paper is from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). Then I added gorgeous I Am Roses flowers to the corners. I LOVE the Christmas tri-color R43 Peonies! Next, I added red cherry blossoms, S10m small white flowers, and tiny green leaves.

TLC Designs Shop: TROLLING BY WITH BIG HUGS!

Happy Tuesday friends! I'm on the TLC Designs Blog today sharing a card using two different stamp sets along with two different die sets. I love that the stamps and dies from TLC Designs can be combined in various ways to create fabulous cards! 

 

For this scene card, I decided to combine the boy troll, mushrooms, and sentiment from the Trolling By Stamp Set with the snail from the Turtle-icious Stamp Set (the cricket was part of the original Trolling By set, but I just realized he didn't make it to the smaller, revised set.). I stamped the images on Copic Xpress It Blending Card and colored them with Copic Markers.

 
To create the shape of the card, I used the Daisy Frame Die. I cut a separate panel from green decorative paper and used the grass die in the Land and Sea Die Set to make the grass layer.

 
I hope this inspires you to pull out your various TLC Designs stamps and dies and look at ways to combine them to create all sorts of cute scenes. Remember To Live Creatively (TLC)!

Jaded Blossom: HOLY CRAB, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!

 Happy Friday everyone! My latest card for Jaded Blossom features this adorable crab from the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons. I fell in love with this awesome fella as soon as I saw him! The great thing about the Add-ons is that there are so many dies that can be used on their own without using the gnomes. So even if you aren't a gnome lover (GASP!), you can still purchase the sets for the accessory dies. When I saw the sentiment "Holy Crab! It's Your Birthday!" that's part of the Ahoy Gnomie Stamp Set, I knew I wanted to create a beach scene with a bunch of crabs.

I cut the crabs from watercolor paper and used Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and a paintbrush to color them. Next, I added dots on the body with Copic Marker R17 and used a black multiliner to add the eyes. To create the white scallop card base, I used Scallop Rectangle Dies 1. The sand paper is a digital file.

The Greeting Farm July 2023 Stamp Feature Day 3: MISS ANYA HOBBY

 Happy Thursday! We are on Day 3 of Stamp Features for the July 2023 New Release at The Greeting Farm. This month, TGF introduced 3 new stamp sets which are all available now for purchase. Claudette, Joni and I are on The Greeting Farm Blog showcasing the new release.

This next set is called MISS ANYA HOBBY and features 3 teen Anya girls doing teenager things like journaling, gaming and of course being on the phone! It's the perfect set if you have daughters or nieces or even friends who enjoy these activities. I decided to color up the gamer girl.

I found some cute digital paper on Etsy to add to the top of my card. The sentiments, little stars, and flowers are part of the set. I used a MFT Die to create the scallop border. The gamer girl is raised on foam tape for more dimension.

The Greeting Farm July 2023 Stamp Feature Day 2: CRITTER MEET

While I definitely am a Anya lover, I just can't resist the animals from The Greeting Farm. I think they are just the cutest ever, and this set called CRITTER MEET has to be one of my newest faves. I mean seriously....how adorable are these animal friends meeting up for donuts and coffee?!

 

I did a combo of coloring and paper-piecing. The couch and little stools are paper pieced. The animals are colored with Copic Markers. I created the living room scene using various digital paper packs that I bought from Snap Click Supply.

I love all the little accessory stamps that come in this set from the bunny in the hat, to the teapot and teacups, and of course.....a mad hatter doll. I mean seriously, could this set be any cuter?! 

 

The cute background paper is from a digital file on Etsy called Alice in Wonderland. It was the perfect match! I used the Jaded Blossom Circle Internal Scallops Dies 1 for the frame around my scene. The cloud and grass paper is from Doodlebug Design.

 Today's card features this fun and happy penguin from Conie Fong called Candy Cane Penguin. Isn't he adorable?! The paper and sentiment strip are from Doodlebug Design.

To step it up a notch, I added gorgeous IAR flowers to one corner. The large flower is the R-43 Peony. I then added S3 White Cherry Blossoms, some blue flowers from S10m-Sample Set A1, R2-12 Red Roses, and L(0T)-2 Leaves.

Jaded Blossom: July 2023 Celebration Sale & Mini Release Day 1

I created a Hawaiian themed card with hula dancers and tiki using the new items. I started with the Girl Gnome Dies for the base of both hula dancers. The male dancer is the girl gnome body (with abs colored in...at least my attempt at abs, LOL). I cut 3 grass skirts from the new Gnome Dies: Tiki Add Ons, and layered them. Then, I cut apart the legs die so I could space the legs apart.

The girl gnome hula dancer was created using the skirt die with the coconuts bra die included in the new Gnome Dies: Tiki Add Ons. Her hair was created using the mustache from Gnome Dies along with one of the girl hair dies. I used the Leg Add Ons to create her arms and her legs. The sentiments are from the new Tropical Vibes Stamp Set.

Jaded Blossom July 2023 Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

 Happy Sunday friends! It's the first Sunday of the month and that means we have a brand new challenge at Jaded Blossom.

 Our next challenge is ...

ANYTHING GOES!
(must use at least 1 JB product)

1) Project must be new for this challenge, no back-linking

2) Project must have a Jaded Blossom stamp or die somewhere on it.

For this challenge, I tried to think outside the box to create a mermaid using the various gnome dies and add ons. When I saw Jamie's card from the Beach Release using the Mermaid Stencil on the gnome hat, it looked like a mermaid tail so I thought....hey I'm gonna try this! 

 

 

I started off with the Girl Gnome Dies for the body and tail. The hat was inked up using the Mermaid Stencil (this was the Freebie for June and hopefully makes it's way to the store soon). I then splattered white acrylic paint over the tail and glued it to the bottom of the Girl Gnome. The mustache die came in handy to create the end of the tail. Her hair was created using a die in the Girl Gnome Dies and the mustache from the boy Gnome Dies. To create her shell top, I cut a 2nd girl gnome body and used scissors to cut a strip from her body area. I then colored the strip in teal and glued on the hand die cuts colored in purple to make the shells. I used the Gnome Dies: Leg Add Ons to create her arms.  The cute fish is from the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons.

 

The water background was created using the Ocean Waves Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks. I cut sand pattern paper using one of the dies in the Tropical Dies set. The starfish and crab from the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons made their appearance around the sentiment which is from the Mermaid Kisses Stamp Set.
