I Am Roses January 2026 Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

I LOVE the mermaids from Sweet November Stamps. I colored up a bunch of them a couple of years ago for a challenge, and still have several left to use on projects. I settled on this cutie called The Guppies: Gilly, and decided to create a birthday card. 

 

 

After coloring her with Copic markers, I fussy cut her out, and placed her on top of a circle piece of pattern paper with foam tape. I framed the circle using Circle Internal Scallops Die 2 from Jaded Blossom. The sentiment is Jaded Blossom's Mermaid To Be Friends Stamp Set. I then added small round glass cabochons. 

  

For the flowers, I used R43 baby blue peonies, dark navy blue roses, S10m-royal/c small pale blue with blue center flowers, S10m baby blue small achillea cottage flowers, and tiny green roses leaves.  

 

Here's a close up of Gilly. I added star dust stickles to her tail and her top for extra sparkle.

Sweet November Stamps: Word Card Making Day FALL SCRAPPY!

Happy Sunday friends! Yesterday was World Card Making Day and to celebrate Sweet November Stamps is giving away this adorable FREE digital stamp called WCMD Fall Scrappy. Today is the last day to snatch him up! They are also doing additional freebies if you create something using Fall Scrappy and post in the Friends of Sweet November Facebook Group and on Instagram (see the details below). 

When I saw him, I knew I wanted to create a Polaroid card and zoom in on his happy expression as he gets ready to indulge in his pup cup. Isn't he the cutest?!!

I cut my white cardstock at 4.25 x 5.5 and then used a square die to cut out the center. I colored the image with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Diamond Press Farmhouse Wreath Stamp and Die Kit.

It's May and Mermay so I'm continuing featuring mermaids from various companies this month. Today's card features this adorable digital stamp I colored up last year called The Guppies: Betta from Sweet November Stamps. I challenged myself to use colors I don't normally use and I even added a koi pattern to her tail. My niece's birthday is coming up so I made this one a birthday card.

The large orange/white flower is the R43 half white half orange Peony.....I LOVE these two tone flowers! Next, I added S3-4 Black Cherry Blossoms, followed by S10m White and Peach Small Flowers. I colored the Tiny Soft Pink Edge leaves black so they would coordinate. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom Make A Splash Gnomie Stamps.

 Today's card features this fabulous digital stamp from Sweet November called January Mertot. I colored her tail in a leopard print pattern using markers, but went with a hot pink color scheme. She's one of my fave mermaids from Sweet November! Her face is so sweet and beautiful.

 

To step it up a notch, I added gorgeous IAR flowers in both corners. The large flower is the R-43 style of flower. I almost always use this as my large flower. Next, I added white cherry blossom and then mint green and white small flowers.

I Am Roses + Sweet November Baylee

 Happy Tuesday friends! As we come to the end of the month and the end of MerMay, I have one final mermaid card to share with you. I have been challenging myself to use colors I don't normally use. For today, I picked orange. I colored up this adorable mermaid from Sweet November Stamps called Baylee using Copic Markers. 

 

I generally use the R43 Peony flower as my center focal point and then build out from there. Next, I added white cherry blossoms, some peach flowers, white small flowers, and mini green leaves. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom Mermaid Kisses.

Sweet November Stamps: DRAGON RELEASE!

 Happy Saturday everyone! I am honored and so excited to be joining in the Sweet November Stamps Dragon Release today because 1.) I LOVE their stamps and 2.) I LOVE dragons!! My card today features two of the new dragons: Swoozie Dragon and Zsu Zsu Dragon! The smoke hearts are part of the Doby Dragon set.

Purple: V12, V15, V17, BV08
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Smoke Hearts: C0, C1, C3, C5, Colorless Blender

I knew when I saw these two cuties that I wanted to create a card inspired by love. I showed in a previous post how I created the cloud slimline background HERE. I just added some green cardstock at the bottom on foam tape for Zsu Zsu to sit on.
