Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps available at My Favorite Things!

 Happy Tuesday everyone! If you haven't yet heard the good news, Rachelle Anne Miller is now releasing CLEAR STAMPS at My Favorite Things. Today, MFT released several new stamps including this adorable bunny set called RAM Sweet Celebration. This clear stamp also has a coordinating die you can purchase separately. If you hate fussy cutting, then I really suggest you get the die. You can also purchase this image as a digi in Rachelle's store HERE. 

I decided to cut the image apart and use the different elements separately to create this slimline scene card. The cloud layers were created using the Stitched Cloud Edges Dies. I inked the edges with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. Then I raised each cloud layer with foam tape for extra dimension.

I used Copic Markers to color the balloons and animals. Then I added stars and dots to the balloons using a Uni-ball Signo White Pen.

My card today features the adorable lion from My Favorite Things Wild About You Stamp Set. Jamie at Not 2 Shabby carries a large selection of stamps and dies and she always has a discount! PLUS, she has really FAST shipping, which is always a good thing! I colored the cute lion with Copic Markers.

I used a couple of My Favorite Things Dies to create this scene: Fishnet Cover Up and Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames. The sentiment is from the TGF How Rawr You Stamp Set.

 

For the yellow, grassy area, I just cut thin strips into the cardstock. I glued the fishnet die into place around the border of the yellow paper, and pulled strips of paper through and curled them with my scissors. Next I took my craft knife and cut off the top of the fishnet. To create the background scene, I used one of the MFT cloud border dies to cut a piece of cardstock. Starting at the top of the white cardstock, I rubbed blue chalk on the edge of the cloud border die-cut. I just keep moving it down and sometimes flipping the cloud border to the back side to get the desired look. Next, I rubbed Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink starting from the middle of the white cardstock to the bottom of the cardstock. Then I took a piece of gray cardstock and tore it to form a rock. I distressed the edge with Black Soot DI, and glued it down.  Now is the time to figure out what sentiment you are using. You will want to stamp that before you start assembling the card.

 

To assemble the card, I glued the black scalloped rectangle to the fishnet die-cut. and then glued the background scene to the back of the black scalloped rectangle. Next I placed the entire panel onto foam to raise it for added dimension.

I used a few My Favorite Things Dies to create this scene: Horizontal Snow Drifts Cover Up, Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames, and Blueprints 8 (the shape for the sentiment).

 I raised every other colored panel on pop-dots, along with the animals and the black scalloped frame. There's a lot of dimension to this card. To finish it off, I added enamel dots.

My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest: Innovation Master Category

 

Happy Thursday everyone! Have you entered the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest? There are 3 different categories you can join for a chance at winning a $250 shopping spree at My Favorite Things!! WOO HOO!! They will select 15 people (5 winners from each of the 3 categories) to win the shopping spree. Can you believe that?!! The deadline is tonight at 9:00pm CST though so HURRY!!

I knew I wanted to enter the Innovation Master Category, and create an awesome scene with a Bendi Fold Card. I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull it off due to time constraints, but I finally finished it!! Talk about "under the wire"! This card not only has a slider for the animals on the front to take a ride down the slope, but it also has a pull tab so the hot air balloon rises up. This card features a lot of MFT Stamps Sets and Dies!

Here is the full view of the Bendi Card featuring some cute and adorable farm animals from the Farm Friends Stamp Set! The animals in the wheelbarrow are on a slider so they roll down the slope when you tilt the card. How FUN is that?!! I used the dies in the MFT Die-namics Hit The Slopes set for both the slider and lift tab and the grassy slopes.

The grassy lines were made using a stamp from Ewe Are The Best Stamp Set. I just stamped using the Versamark Watermark Ink onto green cardstock and then rubbed darker green chalk over the lines.

Here is the left panel open where you can see the two cows and a little mouse peeking out. The tree trunk was stamped with Versamark Watermark Ink onto brown cardstock, and darker brown chalk rubbed over the lines. The same for the tree foliage. The oval from MFT Die-namics Well-Worn Greeting was the perfect size.

The hot air balloon with the little puppy and the little house under the tree are from the Up In The Air Stamp Set. The balloon part was again stamped in Versamark Watermark Ink and rubbed with chalk in rainbow colors!! The little flower on the hot air balloon came from the Somebunny Stamp Set and stamped in a random pattern.

The "Lift Me" sentiment is part of a longer sentiment in the Up In the Air Stamp Set. Here is a picture of the hot air balloon lifted up. The little clouds were made using a stamp from the Somebunny Stamp Set. I made the cloud background with the MFT Die-namics Stitched Cloud Edges and blue chalk.

My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest: Clean & Simple Genius Category

I decided to enter the Clean and Simple Genius category with this card featuring BB Beast Friends! I mean seriously, could these Yeti be any cuter?! I LOVE them!! They are stamped on Xpress It Blending Card and colored with Copic Markers.

I used the MFT Polaroid Die for the frame. You can find several Polaroid sizes in the MFT Die-namics Precious Polaroid set. I then fussy cut the Yeti and snipped around their arms so they would fit over the frame of the polaroid. The sentiment is also from the stamp set.

Do you see the Yeti feet decorative paper? I made that paper using the cute little feet stamp included in the BB Beast Friends Set. Here's how I did it...

I stamped the feet onto white cardstock using the VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad. It leaves a clear, sticky imprint on your cardstock. Then I used a Q-tip and rubbed black chalk all over the paper. EASY PEASY and totally FUN!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge #138: ANYTHING GOES!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today starts a new challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! The theme for the next 2 weeks is: ANYTHING GOES!!

Some of my favorite stamps are from Mama Elephant, and 7 Kids has an amazing selection to choose from! From my card today I used Bear Hugs. This stamp set also has a coordinating die available for purchase so you don't have to cut the stamps out by hand. I stamped the bears on Kraft cardstock. The best part...no coloring! These sets are great for those of you who are intimidated by coloring. :)

7 Kids College Fund~Magnolia Tilda

Happy Monday everyone! I'm back today to share my latest card for the 7 Kids College Fund Store Blog. Now don't forget you still have a today and tomorrow to enter our current challenge on the 7 Kids Challenge Blog HERE. Remember to be eligible for the gift certificate and Top 3 you must use a stamp carried in the 7 Kids College Fund Store.

A few years ago I started collecting Magnolia stamps. I have about 3 or 4 shoe boxes full of them, but lately I haven't been creating with them. I decided to pull one out for today's card, and fell in love all over again! I love too that 7 Kids has some of the lowest prices for these awesome stamps!! They even carry some from the older collections which happen to include some of my favorites!

For my card today, I used this adorable Tilda with Flower in her Hair. She's stamped on Neenah Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics.

The card shape was cut out using My Favorite Things Die-Namics Mini Album Scallop Square STAX. The scallop trim under the ribbon was cut using My Favorite Things Blueprints 6. I used some dps from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic 6x6 paper pad and distressed the edges with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The doily is from Bo Bunny Small Doilies.  The chipboard banner is from Studio G at Walmart. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart, and the ribbon is from my stash.

On my card today I used some awesome dies from My Favorite Things Die-Namics. This amazing snowman, or actually snowgirl, was made completely from dies that are part of the Snow Globe Die Set.

My dps are from Carta Bella GIDDY UP 6x6 Paper Pad. I used several dies from My Favorite Things including the Mini Album Scallop Square STAX for the shape and Tree Lines to go inside the Snow Globe. The ribbon, rose, and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is from a Close To My Heart Stamp Set.
