Inspiration Monday-All Wired Up! (use Wire or Chain)

Happy Monday y'all! Hope you had a great weekend! We didn't do much this week....just lots of hanging at home together as a family. Sometimes those are the best weekends!

It's Monday and time for another La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Monday Challenge. This week our theme is:

ALL WIRED UP!
(use wire or chain on your project)

For my project I used one of the NEWLY RELEASED images called, Marci with Lantern. I'm loving this entire release!! If you haven't seen them yet, click HERE! I know I say I love every release, but this one may be my favorite! :)

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Cheeks: Chalk
Lips: R22
Hair: Black 100, N6, N4
Outfit & Lantern: Paper-pieced & Stickles

I made a little gift box for my project inspired by this Whiff of Joy Tutorial HERE. The measurements are in cm, but I used inches to make my box. To make the lid I used a 4.50 inch square and scored 1/2 inch on each side. To make the base, I cut my square just a tad bit smaller than 4.50 inches so the lid slides easily on top. I used the largest die in SB Labels One for the top and bottom. It's a fairly thin box and would hold maybe a gift card or some jewelry.

The kraft cardstock is from Recollections. The dps are from ColorBok Fancy Fleur at Walmart. I love the purple, green and turquoise color combo of this paper pad! I even paper-pieced Marci's outfit and all the lanterns from this same paper pack and added lots of stickles! The chain is also from Walmart.

The lanterns in the corner and the sentiment are included with Marci with Lantern. I raised Marci, the lanterns, and sentiment on pop-dots.

Now, don't forget you can play along with us and upload your creations all month long to the LLLC Customer Gallery. At the end of the month, Irina will randomly draw a winner for a gift certificate to the LLLC Store.

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

CropStop Challenge #67-Birds

Good Morning everyone! If you are looking for my La-La Land Crafts New Release post, click HERE!

It's Thursday and time for another CropStop Challenge!

The theme this week is...

BIRDS

Before I get to my "Birds" project, I wanted to remind you of CropStop's second challenge going on right now based on the sketch below. You still have until April 30th to enter the Spellbinder/Becky Fleck Challenge for a chance to win Becky's Potpourri Dies from Spellbinder. You can view all the rules HERE!

Here's an 8x8 scrapbook page I started for my son's Tae Kwon Do Album. He's so excited I'm making him his own album! :) You can view details on this scrapbook page HERE!

Now, onto the current CropStop Challenge.....BIRDS!

I used this adorable (and NEW), Kimono Marci from La-La Land Crafts. I used X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and chalk for her cheeks. Her dress is paper-pieced with Washi Paper and I added mini pearls for earrings. :)

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, chalk
Lips: R22
Hair/Shoes: C7, C5, Black 100
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Umbrella: E31, E34, E35, R83, R85, B000, B02, B05, V15, V17

The background papers have cranes printed on them and I also made an origami crane to go in the bottom left corner for the bird theme. :) :)

For the center cardstock strip, I embossed it with one of the folders in the Plum Blossom Set, then I rubbed Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, Antique Linen & Walnut stain over the top.

Supplies Used:
X-Press It Blending Card
Copics
Chalk
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Antique Linen Distress InkSpellbinders Labels Twenty-Three
Scor-tape
Cuttlebug Plum Blossom Embossing Set
Recollections Pearls
Washi Paper
CTMH Ribbon

Here's a side view so you can see the dimension. I raised Kimono Marci on pop-dots and also put pop-dots behind the SB Labels 23 cut-out.

I hope you join us for both our current challenges. Can't wait to see what you make!

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

I've made two projects today! :)

First up is a cheap frame I spruced up with some Washi paper and KARATE MARCI. Isn't she adorable?!?! I wanted to do something girlie with her so the frame was perfect!

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E01, E02, E11, chalk
Lips: R22

My next project is an 8x8 scrapbook page using KARATE LUKA! My little boy is taking Tae Kwon Do, so I'm thinking about starting a little scrapbook for it. He just tested a couple weekends ago for his white belt with orange stripe, so I thought this would be a cute starting page. I found some awesome digital papers at ScrapMatters.com & combined them with some more Washi papers.

I used the CropStop April Spellbinder/Becky Fleck Sketch HERE for my layout!

Skin: E000, E01, E02, E11
