Jaded Blossom May Release Sneak Peek Day 1: Love Bugs, Bug Trail Die, & Honeycomb Card Mat

I'm so excited to show you what I created! I was at the grocery store recently and they had these different colored chocolate candies called Celebration by Frey Sixlets. When I saw them I immediately thought they would make great bug poop party favors. I think that comes from having a son for a child instead of a daughter, LOL! When creating the party favors I found colors of Sixlets that coordinated with the different bugs in the Love Bugs Stamp Set. I made little baggies of bug "poop" along with coordinating place cards so everyone knows which poop came from which bug, haha!

On the 4x4 place cards, I used the Love Bugs Stamp Set, Bug Trail Dies, and Honeycomb Card Mat. I stamped the bugs on Xpress It Blending Card and colored them with Copic Markers. To create the bug trails, I placed the dies on white cardstock to make the stitched pattern and then used scissors and a craft knife to fussy cut them out. The bugs and sentiments are raised on foam tape.

TLC Designs Shop: Seahorse Samm

Happy Sunday and Mother's Day everyone! We are keeping things low-key around here. Kiddo and hubby surprised me with a craft shopping spree so now I need to narrow down what I want to buy! 

Today I'm featuring some digis from TLC Designs Shop. My friend Tammy reintroduced her online store. Not only has she produced an interactive cutting die, but now she's added digital stamps and paper to her store. This adorable image is called Seahorse Samm. I flipped him to face the other way and printed him twice so I could make a girl version and have them face each other for a seahorse kiss! They are colored with Copic Markers.

Polka Dot Orchard: A MOTHER'S LOVE

Happy Saturday everyone! Mother's Day is right around the corner so I wanted to show off this new digital image available at Polka Dot Orchard. It's called A Mother's Love and comes with 5 different sentiments. This image makes the perfect Mother's Day card for tomorrow! It reminded me of my Mother-in-law when she was younger with her long, beautiful hair holding my hubby as a baby. I printed the image on Xpress It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers.

TLC Designs Shop: HAPPY BOUQUET

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are off to a great start to the weekend. This Sunday is Mother's Day so I'm working on a couple of Mother's Day cards. Both my mother and mother-in-law love purple so the cards I'll be doing this weekend will have purple everywhere, haha! 

Today's card features a digital image from TLC Designs Shop. My friend Tammy reintroduced her online store. I love the versatility of this digital stamp. There are so many different ways you can arrange it. This image is colored with Copic Markers.

I used MS Word to tilt it and then lined it along the bottom of my cardstock. I fussy cut it along the bottom of the floral arrangement to expose the plaid paper on the inside of the card. I got this idea from my friend Joni on her card HERE. The plaid paper on the inside of the card is from C.C. Designs Easter Paper Pad. The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm's I LOVE MOM Clear Stamp Set, which happens to be on sale right now.

Today, I'm showcasing another fabulous girl from the 20's Gals Stamp Set. I decided to add a pop of red to the black and gold this time around. I just LOVE her! She is stamped on Xpress It Blending Card, and colored with Copic Markers. I even gave her some fancy black gloves!

To create the card I used all 3 of the new dies. The gold paper was cut out using the largest die from the Scalloped Rectangles set. The red and gold patterned paper was cut out using the largest die from the Rectangles Set. And then I added scallop cut-outs from the Borders Die Set.

C.C. Designs May 2020 Release Preview: BEE SWISSIE

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm previewing another new stamp set coming to the C.C. Designs Store on Thursday at 12pm CST. The May Release is totally going to knock your socks off!! There will be 6 new stamp sets and 3 new die sets...and let me tell you they are AMAZING!! You are going to want it all! 

This adorable set is called BEE SWISSIE and has the cute girl, 3 mini bees, a small beehive, and 4 sentiments. For my card today I just used the girl and the mini bees. Isn't she ADORABLE?!!

This large beehive is a die from Honey Bee Stamps. I cut it out of yellow cardstock and used my Copics to add more color and dimension. I used the circle die from C.C. Designs and cut a hole in the beehive and then mounted it to black cardstock using foam tape so it has more dimension. The branch at the top was fussy cut from paper that is part of the In The Forest 6x6 Paper Pad.

Happy Monday everyone! I'm back with a special post today to show you a preview of some new stamps coming to the C.C. Designs Store this Thursday!! Jaded Blossom May Monthly Challenge: FLOWER POWER!

Happy Sunday everyone! I've got some exciting news to share! I've been given the awesome opportunity to join the Jaded Blossom Design Team...WOO HOO! A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies on the team for giving me a chance! I'm so excited to work alongside these talented ladies!!

To kick off the month of May, we are bringing you a new monthly challenge. The theme this time around is: 

FLOWER CHALLENGE 
All you have to have is at least one flower somewhere on your project. It could be floral decorative paper or a Jaded Blossom floral stamp, or a flower embellishment.

I decided to create a scene card using the Warrior Bundle. This bundle consists of two stamps sets called Warrior Princess and Chinese New Year, and it's listed at a special price! The Japanese girl and sentiment are from the Warrior Princess Set, and the dog and monkey are from the Chinese New Year Set. I stamped the images on Xpress It Blending Card and colored them with Copic Markers.

The grassy hills were created using one of the dies from the Mushroom Die Set. I drew and colored the cherry blossom branch myself, fussy cut it out, and then added small paper flowers to the branch. See that cute MONKEY? He's part of the Chinese New Year Set in the Warrior Bundle.
