Dies R Us: Memory Box Butterfly Heart

 Happy Tuesday everyone! It's Rosie here today showing you how to create a simple, colorful card using 1 die and rainbow patterned paper! I absolutely love this die from Memory Box called BUTTERFLY HEART. I think it makes a dramatic presentation on any card.

Let's Get Started!

Step 1: This die does not cut all the way through which is the brilliant part. It just cuts the outer part of the wings of each butterfly so you can then pull the wings up to create dimension. I cut two butterfly hearts, one from white cardstock and one from rainbow patterned digital paper.

Step 2: I used a craft knife to cut out each butterfly from the rainbow paper. This was the time-consuming part of making this card. If you are short on time, you could just use markers to color each of the wings on the white cardstock. I was just worried I would get ink on the surrounding white areas.

Step 3: Match up and glue the rainbow butterflies on top of the white butterflies. I did one butterfly at a time to make sure I matched them up correctly.

 

Step 4: Find a sentiment you like and stamp it below the butterfly heart. Next, cut a piece of red cardstock at 4"x5.25" to go under the butterfly card panel which is 3.75"x5". Then, glue it to the white card base measuring 4.25"x5.50". The last step is to bend all the butterfly wings upward to create the dimension.

Rachelle Anne Miller: PRINCESS CASTLE + PRINCESS CASTLE ELEMENTS

 Happy Sunday friends! My card today features two Rachelle Anne Miller digi sets. I combined PRINCESS CASTLE and PRINCESS CASTLE ELEMENTS to create this slimline card scene! That is the great thing about digital stamps....you can combine different sets to create the scene you want.

I used Microsoft Word to create the scene by overlaying the different elements. It helps to create a one-dimensional card instead of having to fussy cut each digi. The sentiment is from MFT Beary Special Birthday.

The Greeting Farm Digi Stamp Feature: MISS ANYA DRESS UP & FASHION SAYINGS

 Happy Friday everyone! Today, we have a Digi Stamp Feature showcasing the new digis that were released on March 1st. The Greeting Farm released two sets that coordinate called MISS ANYA DRESS UP along with FASHION SAYINGS. In addition, Marie squeezed out another sentiment digi set called EASTER SAYINGS.

My card features a bedroom scene with Miss Anya Dress Up and Fashion Sayings. I love her outfit and wish I had one exactly like it! And of course, she has to have black, glitter boots! I created part of the scene in MS Word by adding the clothes and boots on to Anya and adding the hanging clothes inside the wardrobe. The shoes inside the wardrobe and the purse were cut out and glued inside.

I wish I had a green thumb. My mom is amazing with all the plants! She even designed and landscaped her beautiful backyard garden, and it's so worthy of being in a Homes and Garden magazine. I, on the other hand, can't even keep a succulent alive, LOL! Today's set is called CHEEKY LOVE and she apparently has an awesome green thumb!

I love bunny stamps, and the ones from The Greeting Farm are some of my favorite! I think they have so much character and are just plain adorable! The set is called HAPPY EVERYTHING, and it really does make you happy.

To create this slimline scene, I used the Hello Bluebird Fairy Glade Scene Vertical Die. I love the look of it, but I don't like that it cuts every single piece out. I wish the elements along the edge of the die stayed intact with the border edge. There is a lot of "piecing everything back together." But once you get it figure out and all the pieces colored, it really is impressive! This card has a lot of dimension because I backed the mushroom, bottom grassy layers, and flower with extra cardstock and chipboard so it sits higher.

The Lawn Fawn Meadow Backdrop-Landscape is my favorite die for creating a spring scene. I usually cut two frames and trim apart the bottom grassy area from the 2nd die cut so I can place it on top of the first cut out with foam tape. It just adds a little extra dimension.

I Am Roses March 2021 Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

Today, I'm using a digital image from Love Cynthia. It's one of the images from the Christmas Tree Bundle (set of 3). I haven't played with my Love Cynthia digis in a while so I figured since she was already printed I would use her. Although she was originally intended for Christmas, I'm using her for a Birthday card.

 

 

The two sheets of decorative paper are from different paper pads, but the colors coordinated so I used them together. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. To finish it off, I added gorgeous flowers from I Am Roses, along with some red ribbon. These flowers really add a dramatic statement to any project!

Jaded Blossom March Release BLOG HOP!

  For my project today, I created a candy basket using several items from the new release. I had a blast creating with this release, and I know you will too!  

 I used the little bee gnome from Gnome Worries Bee Happy Stamps for the toppers on the Bit O Honey candy. I just taped them to the very top of the candy, and then glued/taped bamboo skewers to the back of candy. I put one of those garden foam rolls on the inside of the yellow tin to put the skewers in. All of this bee-themed candy was bought at Target.
 

 
To create the label, I used Buzzing With My Gnomies Stamps, Bee Stencil, Scallop Caddy Die, and Honeycomb Card Mat Die.

Jaded Blossom March 2021 Release: Sneak Peek Day 4

 Happy Thursday everyone! Today is Day 4 of Sneak Peeks for the Jaded Blossom March Release!  If you LOVE everything you have seen so far this week, then you definitely want to purchase the Gotta Have it Now Package, which will return to the Jaded Blossom Store on Friday. It's the best deal! 

For my project today, I created a coffee gift set with this adorable chick mug I found on Amazon. Isn't it CUTE?!! I created a topper for the White Chocolate coffee mix using the Ric Rac Topper Die. I also created a tag to tie on the mug using the Treat Tag Die. 

 
I don't normally put red and yellow together, but I followed the colors on the mug and I actually LOVE it! I colored the larger chick mug with Copics, fussy cut it out and adhered it to the topper with foam tape. I cut the sentiment apart after stamping it, then matted it on yellow and also raised the words on foam tape. To finish it off, I added enamel dots to the handle.

I did something a little different for the tag. I stamped the sentiment in yellow and then used a black multiliner to add the shadow. The small chick mug was colored with the same Copic colors listed above and raised on foam tape also.
