C.C. Designs: SUMMER FUN!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week has been of to a great start! We had another amazing release at C.C. Designs this month...perfect for all your summer cards! You can check out the entire release HERE.

Today, I used the SUMMER FUN set to create this mermaid-licious card! I stamped the images on cryogen cardstock and colored them with Copics. The papers are a digital file from Miss Kate Cuttables called OCEANS OF FUN. I overlaid the Under The Sea Title on top of the bubble paper before I printed it. I cut a circle through the top of the card so you can see the sentiment, seaweed, and fish that are on the inside of the card.

The Greeting Farm Faith Release Preview: PROMISE

Happy Sunday everyone! We have a new Faith Stamp coming to The Greeting Farm on JUNE 15th! I can't tell you how much I love these stamp sets! Every month, we will introduce 1 new faith-based stamp, but as you will see these stamps can be used for all different types of projects! They are so versatile and perfect for cards, Bible Journaling, bookmarks, scrapbook layouts and planners.

Every month, we will preview the new Faith Release on the Sunday prior to the 15th. The stamp will then be available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store on the 15th with the regular release. That way you can add it to your cart at the same time as your regular release order instead of having to wait until the end of the month! That should make things a lot easier!

Today's set is called PROMISE!! There are so many amazing uses and variations for this set. You can see all the awesome DT projects on the Blog HERE. I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color the sky. The girl was colored with Copics.

Copics:

Hair: E42, E77, E79
Red: R24, R27, R39

The rainbow was made using the Mama Elephant Rainbow High Die. I traced around a Lawn Fawn cloud die to get the cloud wide enough to fit the sentiment.

Don't forget, this set will be available in The Greeting Farm Store for purchase on the 15th! We will start Day 1 of Previews for the regular release on Monday, June 11th at 12am EST. Be sure to check the TGF Blog to see all the sneak peeks of what's coming to the store on the 15th! It's another AMAZING release!!

Happy Thursday!! It's official, the JUNE RELEASE from C.C. Designs is NOW available for purchase, Woo Hoo!! This release is so much fun! We have a new artist joining C.C. Designs and she introduced us to some quirky animals in the HELLO GOODBYE set. The next set MERKINI features two awesome girls....one as a Mermaid and one who's ready for the beach. The SUMMER FUN set features mermaids, a merman, and some mer-animals...so much FUN! To round out the release, we have HANG 10....two summer characters ready for the beach and waves!

For my mini 4x4 cards, I used the animals from the Hello Goodbye Clear Set. They are so much FUN that I decided to create a mini card for each animal!! The sentiment for the Hippo card came from my friend a fellow DT sister JONI....Thank you girl!!

Here are some closeups of each card. First up is the alligator...or crocodile, haha!

Copics:
Green: YG23, YG25, YG17, YG67, G28
Scales: YG93, YG95, G99

Next is the Cow. He's so funny!

The last card features the fabulous Hippo. I stamped the hippo twice so it would match the sentiment my friend Joni gave me. I just hand wrote it. I was going to use the sentiment in the set, Adios Hippos, but I don't think I'd give that card to anyone at the moment, LOL!

Copics:
Gray: C2, C3, C5
Pink: R81, R83, R85

Make it Crafty JUNE Coloring Challenge: ANIMALS

Happy Tuesday everyone! The new Coloring Challenge and Make it Crafty for the month of June is ANIMALS. Each of us on the Design Team were given an inside challenge so you will see various parts of an animal covered like feathers, fur, and scales. If you scroll down on previous posts you will already see some awesome work on fur and feathers from my DT Sisters. Today I bring you SCALES!!

I used the Koi Fishes Digi for my card. This file comes with two different koi. I only used one, and printed it on Cryogen Cardstock. I colored the image with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Orange: YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, E19
White: C1, C2, C3, C5, Colorless Blender
Black: C6, C7, C9
Water: BG53, B91, B23, B24, B26, B29

To make the scales, I just penciled in scallops along the fish body. I then figured out which scales I wanted orange and black and colored those in with my lightest Copic color so I had it mapped out. I add the darker color on the right side and go lighter towards the scalloped edge. My trick was to leave a little light area right up next to the scallop edge.

Once I finished, I decided to add some of this Hologram Glitter Paint on the scales. It's very glittery!

I kept my card pretty simple because I wanted the fish and blue water to stand out.

I hope to see all of you playing along with this challenge! There are NO failed attempts if you try. You will always learn something from the process! And remember, Zoe and the rest of us are always here to help. All you have to do is ask!!

Rosie

The Greeting Farm: GRATEFUL HEART

Happy Sunday everyone! It's Rosie here today showcasing an older Faith Stamp Set from The Greeting Farm called GRATEFUL HEART. It's one of my fave sets and versatile for so many different occasions! I recommend adding them to your collection because they are great for so many different projects.

I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I decided to go with a rainbow theme because it was fun and I wanted to use some non-traditional flower colors. :)

The black polka dot paper came from my stash. The scalloped white frame was made using a MFT Die. The ribbon and enamel dots are from my stash.

Head over to The Greeting Farm Store and grab your fave stamps! You are going to LOVE them all!!

Dies R Us: Have a MANATEE-RIFIC Day!

Happy Thursday everyone! Today, I'm sharing this scene card I created with several of the NEW Lawn Fawn Dies I bought from the Dies R Us Store! I LOVE how easily a scene card comes together using the coordinating Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. It's so much fun, and DIES R US gives me so many options!

++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card. First, I cut out two pieces of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop from brown cardstock.

Next, I used my paper trimmer to cut 3/4" strips, along with a 5" x 6" rectangle to glue the strips to. I was trying to create a shiplap boat wall. In retrospect, I should have used a lighter brown cardstock and inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink so you could see the strips.

I glued the strips down to the rectangle, offsetting the strips to look like a shiplap wall, and then trimmed the brown cardstock down to 4.5" x 6". Then I added a piece of 4.75" x 6.25"gold cardstock underneath.

I used a circle die and cut out the center. I used a die I had in my stash, but if you don't have any circle dies you can use the Elizabeth Craft Designs Frame It Stitched Circles.

I cut out the largest Lawn Fawn Porthole Frame Die, and a plain circle about the same size from a transparency sheet. I glued the gold porthole frame on top of the transparency.

I cut two more plain circles....one from watercolor paper and one from Yupo paper. I created a sky background with markers and paintbrush on the watercolor paper. I created water with alcohol inks on the Yupo paper. Next, I used one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Wave Border Dies to cut out the bottom "water" portion of the circle and glued it on top of the sky background.

I had an extra watercolor paper circle, and covered the top with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. Then I splattered water on top and used a paper towel to pick up the excess water. This creates the lighter spots on the paper...perfect for the manatees from the Lawn Fawn Manatee-rific Stamps. This stamp set also has Coordinating Dies.

Here's the circle scene with the manatees. Aren't they adorable?!!

I wanted to create some depth so I added foam squares to the back of the shiplap/porthole cardstock BEFORE adding the circle manatee scene to the back. This puts some space between the porthole and the scene

You can see here that there is space between the scene and the porthole.

The side view shows some of the dimension. I also added foam squares behind the sentiment banner.
