TGF Garden Variety Tuesday~GIRLY GIRL!!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today starts a new Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme for the next week is:

GIRLY GIRL!

Oooooh, I had so much fun with this one! I'm always making girly cards because I have a boy and I need some pink and flowers and pearls in my life, haha!

I used the new Baby Anya & Ian Set for my altered Baby Frame. I stamped Anya and the Giraffe on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics along with some paper-piecing!

I like to buy these cheap $1.50 frames at Michaels just to have one hand for altering. I have several sitting in a storage bin and decided to put them to use this week! My dps are from various paper pads...MME and Authentique. I inked all the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The Heart Banner is from La-La Land Crafts. The flowers are from Prima, Recollections and my friend Cebelica. The pearl swirls are from Recollections.

In the side view you can see I raised the banner and giraffe on pop-dots. The quote is from a pad of clear transparency girly quotes that I got from Hobby Lobby years ago. I'm finding all sorts of stuff while I'm unpacking! It's like Christmas in June, haha! And yes, it's been 10 months since we moved to Texas...and I'm still unpacking....UGH! :)

Inspiration Monday~SOMETHING FOR DAD!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a pretty relaxing weekend and even got to spend some time with Paul's cousin's family. They have 2 little boys (one is a baby) so I had fun holding a baby again! Kind of gave me baby fever....just a little, haha!

You do realize Father's Day is this coming Sunday, right?!! I'm just shocked at how fast this year is flying by. Isaiah turns 7 years old on June 21st and I haven't even sent out invitations...OIY!!

 

For my card today I used the super adorable Sir Luka. I stamped him on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copics.

Yumi & Fumi Challenge #18~TIME TO CELEBRATE!

I hope you're having a great weekend! We had a busy day yesterday hanging out with family! We always love when the family can come to hang out. Paul's cousin is doing some training in Ft. Worth and the entire family came with him. They have two little boys (one's a baby) so I got my baby fix in yesterday! I love me some babies!!

It's time to break out the confetti, fun stamps and papers and we can't forget all those celebration sentiments.  There are lots of reasons to celebrate, the birth of a baby, a graduation, a milestone birthday, the beginning of summer, someone's retirement, finishing a marathon, the list goes on and on.  With so many different occasions you can celebrate you're bound to need cards for those right?  Well here's your chance to create one and while you're at it, might as well try to win a gift certificate from us.  :)

The sentiment is a sticker.

Hello Creative Romantics!! At last the day is finally here....we have our first challenge up at A Creative Romance Blog!! All of us on the Design Team have been looking forward to this day! It's an awesome new adventure and I'm so glad to be a part of it with some amazing and talented ladies!!

Not sure if you remember, but in April I put up some awesome blog candy to kick start this new adventure. The winner was announce on May 2nd, but still hasn't come forward to claim the prize. My dps are from Echo Park This & That Graceful. The burlap ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The flowers are from Prima and my friend Cebelica. The butterflies were cut out using Tim Holtz BUTTERFLIGHT On The Edge Die. I joined the Stampendous FRANTAGE craze and added it to the butterflies. I still haven't found my heat gun so I used my toaster, haha! It actually works really well because there's no air blowing the particles away. You just sprinkle it on and then hold it over the top of the toaster....works perfectly!! The white pearls are from Recollections.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday~BOLD & BRIGHT BIRTHDAY!

 

TGIFriday everyone! Today is the last day of school for my little guy, WOOT, WOOT! I think we are soooooo ready to start our summer vacation! Isaiah and I are not morning people so getting up at the crack of dawn for school is really difficult! He's a walking zombie in the morning. I pretty much dress him in his sleep and carry him to the dining room table before he finally starts opening his eyes....yeah, it's BAD!!

Today starts a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm. This week's theme is:

This should be a pretty easy challenge! I hope to see lots of you participating in this one!! For my card today I used a new release stamp called Winky Bean.....isn't she just the cutest thing ever?!!

For my card I used dps from Echo Park and My Mind's Eye Hootenanny. The gorgeous ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The little rhinestone flowers in the corners are from Close To My Heart. The white flower is from Kaisercraft and the pink cherry blossoms are from my friend Cebelica!

Do you see what's on my oval background behind Winky Bean? I finally bought some Frantage from Stampendous....it's the latest craze popping up all over cards these days. It's lots of fun! You just sprinkle it on your card and then heat from underneath. What's my trick? I use a toaster since I can't find my heat gun, LMBO! It actually works and keeps the Frantage from flying everywhere. :)

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~JUST PLAIN WRONG!

 

 

Yup, it's time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge and this time it's a doozie! Our fearless boss challenged us to think outside the box and take it a little (okay, A LOT) beyond normal!! So the challenge for the next two weeks is:

For my card I turned Fishing Tilda into a ZOMBIE. I know my Maggie lovers are gonna hate it, but it's just for fun y'all!! No harm was done to Tilda in the making (it's just makeup okay, haha). This Tilda is from an older collection so she's not available in the store, but if you want a fishing one you could use HOOKED TILDA.

Happy Monday everyone!I hope you had a great weekend! Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to my first ever Texas Ranger's Baseball Game through our church. It was quality family time and boy was Isaiah tired afterwards. The Rangers won the game which of course was the added bonus. I realize I'm not much of a baseball kind of gal. At least I can cross it off my list though. :)

As you've seen over the past few days, we are going "ga-ga" over this new installment of cuteness available NOW in the TGF Store! We're welcoming the new onesie die, the revamped Anya and Ian stamp set, the new Winky Bean, and a new WS Charlotte "Chic"!  We're keeping it sweet and sassy this month and can't WAIT to see what you do with these new items!

I was seriously tired this week trying to get everything ready for Isaiah's year-end party today. It was a lot of work, but the kids had an amazing time! When I'm tired and lacking serious mojo, I turn to sketches. I found this amazing sketch at Deconstructing Jen (DS103) and finally my card came together. The dps are from ColorBok's HOPSCOTCH 12x12 paper pad (at Walmart). There are 50 double-sided, patterned papers and I love them! The sentiment was cut out from one of the dps in the same paper pad using Spellbinder Classic Ovals and Floral Ovals. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the black pearls are from Recollections.

The dps were made by making a color copy of a stationery set I bought at Target on Clearance....it's the print on the actual box! The large pearls are from The Paper Studio. Inspiration Monday~Tic Tac Toe Board!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! We had a great time spending time with our family. I'm sad to see them go back home today. :( I know I'll see them soon, but it's still hard. I'm glad summer vacation is right around the corner so we can spend more time with them! I also wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all those who serve or have served in our Military! I appreciate all the sacrifices you have made to protect our many freedoms!

Today starts a new Inspiration Challenge at La-La Land Crafts. The theme this week is this Tic Tac Toe Board! Not sure how to play? All you do is pick a line across or down or diagonal and use at least those three items on your card!

For my card today I actually used a double tic-tac toe! I used the items on the diagonal (pink, dies, & doily) and items going down (pink, flowers & ribbon). My image is the CUTE Heart Balloon Marci. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her skin & hair with Copics. The rest of her is paper-pieced. :)

Yumi & Fumi Challenge #17~ALL ABOUT DAD!

Good morning to all you lovely folks! In remembrance of Memorial Day coming up on Monday, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have served and are still serving in our military! My family and I appreciate the sacrifices you have made to help keep us safe and protect our country! Thank you for all that you do!

With Father's Day right around the corner it's a great opportunity to get started on those Father's Day projects. I just wanted to say I was truly blessed to have an amazing father! He passed away 6 1/2 years ago, but he's always on my mind and in my heart. I am also doubly blessed because my husband is an amazing father! He does so much for Isaiah and really works hard to spend quality time with us as a family. I love that man so much and really appreciate all that he does!

Now don't forget we do have rules at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts.You can read the rules by clicking on the Challenge info tab. My awesome textured dps came from The Paper Company. The black one is called Black Rain Drops and the green one is called Crocodile Green....LOVE them!! I think I bought them at Hobby Lobby and clearance so not sure they are still available, but they are so much fun!

 

 I just hand wrote the sentiment "You're a DINO-mite DAD!!" The corners were made using a Whimsy Stamps Corners Die. I also used one of my new Nellie Snellen Flower Multiframe Die....it's AWESOME! The ribbon came from Hobby Lobby and the pearls are from Recollections.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention, I made an Easel Card. I raised Chasezilla and the sentiment up on pop-dots. :)

TGF Farm Fresh Friday~~Make an Interactive Card!

TGIFriday everyone! I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that's been going on in Oklahoma. But this weekend I plan on taking a break from the footage and emotions and just spend quality time with the family. My BIL, SIL, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 really great friend who's part of the family are all driving down from Oklahoma to spend time with us in Texas for the long weekend. I'm so excited to see them all and just give them big hugs!! My niece's bday was May 22nd so we're also going to celebrate this weekend with her! I can't wait to take her shopping!! :)

7 Kids College Fund~~Embellishment Challenge!

I just want to say my heart and prayers are with the state of Oklahoma. I am from Oklahoma and lived there 18 years before moving to Texas this past August. We still have family and friends there so it was a frantic day trying to get a hold of all of them. Fortunately all of our family and friends are okay! But if you've seen the footage, you know that there are so many people reeling from losing a loved one or their homes. It's horrific and heart-breaking seeing all the images on the news. My hearts breaks for all of Oklahoma. I hope you will join me in lifting them up in prayer.

 

Today starts a new Challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! For the next 2 weeks the challenge is: 

Embellishments!

For my card today I used a new stamp I recently bought called Stamping Bella "I Carry Your Heart With Me" by Diane Duda. I'm a big fan of Diane Duda and have several of her prints that I'm going to frame and hang in my studio (whenever I get time to get that organized!). You can only imagine how excited I was to see that 7 Kids is now carrying these awesome line of stamps!! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics.

 

 Copics:

Hair: E44, E47, E49

Pink: R81, R83, R85

Dress: E40, E42, E43

 

I used some gorgeous dps from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found BLUSH 6x6 paper pad. The pink flowers are Kaisercraft Fairy Floss Paper Blooms. I also used La-La Land Crafts Creepy Vines Die. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the pearls are from Recollections. The "love" pin is from Little Yellow Bicycle. The sentiment comes with the stamp. I just cut out each word, inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then popped each word on pop-dots.

Inspiration Monday~~Circles Everywhere!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Our weekend was pretty busy trying to find deals on a new gas grill and waterslide for Memorial Day weekend coming up! We found some awesome deals so it's going to be a fun weekend as long as the weather stays nice!! We have family coming down to see us so we're definitely excited about that!

Today starts a new Inspiration Challenge at La-La Land Crafts. The theme this week is:

CIRCLES EVERYWHERE!

(You can make a circle card or add circles to your project....interpret it any way you want!)

 

I used the super adorable Watercan Marci today. She's one of my favorites and lots of fun to color! She's stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.
