TGF Farm Fresh Friday~~RED, WHITE, BLUE + RIBBON!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all are having a great week! Hubby and I celebrated our 14-year wedding anniversary (we've been together a total of 19 years). We usually do a weekend trip somewhere and Isaiah stays with his cousins. But since we moved we weren't able to do that. Instead we had some awesome friends offer to watch him overnight so we got a hotel room in Dallas and tried out some different food places. We even got to go to the moves to see Man of Steel, which was AWESOME! I felt like we were dating again. :)

Yesterday, many of us living in the U.S. celebrated the 4th of July, Independence Day. Well, at The Greeting Farm we decided to carry on the celebrations for another week with our new challenge:

RED, WHITE, BLUE + RIBBON!

I've always loved this color combo even outside of 4th of July cards. I've seen some amazing Christmas cards using this color combo so don't feel like you have to make something that says 4th of July. :)

Our amazing DT has some stunning creations to inspire you this week, so be sure to head over to TGF Blog and take in all the loveliness!

For my card today I used WS Charlotte Chic. I think she's gorgeous and very versatile for all sorts of different occassions!!

 Copics:
Skin: E02, E11, E13, E15
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Red: R24, R29
Blue: B23, B24, B29

I used some papers I had from an old The Paper Studio All Occasions 12x12 paper pad. The doily is from Bo Bunny. The white ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. My sentiment is from Close To My Heart. The corners were cut using Whimsy Stamps Corner Dies Set. I added Recollection Pearls in the top corners.

Here's how to play:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz no later than Thursday, July 11th at NOON CST.
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section!)
  •  The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4x6 set!
Have a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~~MARKERS!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today is my 14 year Anniversary, WOOT, WOOT! I can't believe my hubby and I have been married that long....it just seems like yesterday when us young bucks got married. I love that man more than anything! He's my soul mate for sure and he's an amazing guy! We dated for 5 years so we've been together a total of 19 years. Whew....that's almost half my life! Here's to another 20 baby! I love you!!

I'm back today to also announce that 7 Kids College Fund has a new challenge starting today, and it's an easy, peasy one! The challenge for the next 2 weeks is:

MARKERS!!

How simple is that?!! We should see a lot of you participating in this one. But remember, to qualify for the $20 gift certificate you have to use a stamp carried in the store!

For my card today I used an awesome DoCrafts stamp called "I Gave You My Heart" from the Gorjuss Girls line of stamps. I LOVE all of them and those that know me know that I am a collector of anything Gorjuss Girl!! I have an awesome friend, Cebelica, who recently mailed me several Gorjuss Girls things including a new coffee mug!! LOVE you girl!!

I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with COPICS!

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11

Socks: C3, C5, C7, E40, E41, E42, E43

I recently bought some Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel, and have been trying it out. If you've followed my blog you know that I lost my heat gun so I've been using my toaster! I have to tell you the toaster works awesome with the Frantage because it doesn't blow it all around!

I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you find time to join us in our new challenge HERE!

Inspiration Monday~~STARS & STRIPES!

**IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY TGF BLOG HOP POST, please click HERE or scroll down!

It's a busy Monday for me today!! I'm back to introduce the new Inspiration Monday Challenge for La-La Land Crafts. The theme this week is:
STARS and STRIPES!!
I used New Years Marci for my card today and tried something a little different. I recently bought some awesome chalkboard paper from DCWV called "All Chalked Up." It's AWESOME!! I used my VersaMark Pad and stamped it on the black chalkboard paper. Then I rubbed white chalk over it. I had to take a makeup sponge and lightly rub the excess chalk off to get the image clearer....worked perfectly!!

I also used a couple of La-La Land Crafts Dies on my card: Flag Banner and Stitched Tabs.
My dps are from Basic Grey "Life of the Party" 6x6 paper pad. The puffy star stickers are from K&Company. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Don't forget, you can join in all the fun at La-La Land Crafts by adding your creations to the Customer Gallery, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed

7 Kids College Fund~AIM HIGH!

**IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY TGF BLOG HOP POST, please click HERE or scroll down!

Happy Monday everyone! I'm back again sharing my newest card for 7 Kids College Fund using some La-La Land Crafts dies and no colored image! WHAT?!! I know, right! That's definitely not normal for me, but I wanted to show you the ease and versatility of using dies on your card as the focal point. It takes card-making to the "easy" zone and give you the ability to mass produce cards in a hurry....quick and convenient!!

For my card I used two LLLC Dies: Hot Air Balloon and Stitched Tabs (set of 3). My fabulous dps are from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic 6x6 paper pad.

Here's a closeup of the La-La Land Crafts Hot Air Balloon Die. The blue part is the die cut-out. I then traced the cut-out onto yellow cardstock, cut it out and placed it behind the die. The balloon is raised on pop-dots for added dimension.

BTW, don't forget about our current challenge of Red, White & Blue on our 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog. You have a few more hours to join in the fun! Be sure to use a stamp the STORE carries so you qualify for the $20 gift certificate drawing!!

Have a great week!

The Greeting Farm July PREVIEW of CHEEKY LESSON!!

This week we have been previewing the new release stamps coming out July 1st over at The Greeting Farm Blog. Well, I'm here today to show you a CUTE newbie....perfect for all those school projects!!

Although many of us in the U.S. are out of school there are a few of you out there who still have kids in session. Well, who couldn't use a teacher stamp?? WOOT, WOOT!!

When school is in session, we have an AMAZING stamp to use called CHEEKY LESSON!! You will also notice a heart die on my projects below...this Heart Die is part of the FILM DIE SET (a set of 3 dies).

I found some awesome chalkboard paper on clearance at Michaels from DCWV All Chalked Up. It was perfect for my card and 8x8 Shadow Box!!

The number dps on my card is from DCWV The Grade School Stack. Do you see the apple cut out? I made it using the Heart Die from the Film Die Set!! I just cut off the pointy heart end and added a stem and leaf. :) The sentiment is a sticker. I used white chalk to write on the chalkboard paper and it worked perfectly!

This was a plain wood shadow box I bought at Walmart. I also bought the wooden letters there too. Then I painted everything. I actually painted the middle area with chalkboard paint, but it wasn't dry enough to write on yet, so I cut a sheet of chalkboard paper down to size and added it in the middle.

Here's a side view of my chalkboard shadow box.
How would you like a chance to win this CHEEKY LESSON?!!

Here's what you have to do:
*Head over to The Greeting Farm Blog and visit each designers' blog.
*Leave a comment on each designer's blog.
*Then pop back over TGF Blog letting us know you are done.
We will pick a random winner tomorrow from those who completed the hop to win this CUTE stamp!! Thank you so much for stopping by and playing along. Now don't forget to stop back by TGF Blog tomorrow for our final day of previews of these newbies coming out July 1st.
Hugs!!
Rosie :)

Inspiration Monday~~SUMMER FUN!

Happy Monday everyone! Well the Birthday Weekend for my little guy was a success! We had lots of family come into town to celebrate along with our awesome friends! Isaiah had a blast and said it was one of his best birthday's ever. It makes you feel so good when you know they had a great time. We had 2 water slides for the party, but by the end of the day the bigger one had 3 large holes in it and started deflating and taking in water......we won't be buying that one again!! What's funny is that the smaller one is an older one we bought a few years ago.....and even though it has some patches, it lasted longer than the new one we just bought! OIY!!

Today starts a new weekly challenge at La-La Land Crafts. The theme this time around is:

SUMMER FUN!!

How appropriate, right?!! The summers here in Texas are a killer from what I've been told. And from what I've experienced over the weekend they are not lying! Several of the kiddos got a little sunburned even though we put on several applications of sunscreen. It's definitely HOT and we haven't even hit August yet!!! This is why I hibernate during the summer and come out in the fall/winter, LOL!

For my card today I created a beach scene using Beach Luka and Beach Marci.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Shirt: YR04, YR07, YR09
Pants: B91, B93, B95
Pail/Shovel: G14, G28, G46

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Suit: R81, R83, R85
Hat/Inner-tube: YR04, YR07, YR09, BG10, BG13, BG15, Y02
For my card I used mostly cardstock. The sand colored dp and the light blue dp for the background is from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic-Nutmeg 6x6 paper pad. I used a couple LLLC Dies on my card: the Island from the Cloud, Sun and Island Set, and the Wave Border Die. The clouds were cut out using a Memory Box Die. The Sentiment, Starfish, Sand Dollar, & Shell all came with the Beach Luka Stamp Set. I raised the large cloud and the front beach scene on pop-dots for added dimension.

Don't forget, you can join in all the fun at La-La Land Crafts by adding your creations to the Customer Gallery, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed. Be sure to swing back by the LLLC Blog on Friday to see more inspiration from my fellow DT sisters!!

Hugs,
Rosie :)
