Polka Dot Orchard: GNOME TALKIE BEFORE COFFEE

Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with another gnome card featuring this awesome image from Polka Dot Orchard called Gnome Talkie Before Coffee. Isn't it AMAZING?! I used a free editing program called GIMP to overlay one of the sentiments in the set onto the mug so I could print it as one image. That's the great thing about digital stamps. You can make it any size you want and add sentiments to different elements before printing. I printed this image on Xpress It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers.

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: W3, W5
Red: R24, R27, R29, R57, R59
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Brown: E23, E25, E27, E29

The coffee/heart paper is a digital paper file I found on Etsy...and it was the perfect match for this card. I printed one of the other sentiments "tastes like magic" and cut it apart. Then I matted the words on red cardstock and raised them on foam tape.

The pink bow was made using a tool called a Bow Easy. It's my fave tool for making awesome bows!

Be sure to head over to the Polka Dot Orchard Store to snag your faves. Twenty new digital stamp sets have recently been added including new GNOMES...and you know how much I LOVE gnomes!! Also, if there is a set you are interested in reach out to me, and we can do a Collaboration Wednesday together. I would send you a free digi to work with! It would be so much FUN!

Have a great Friday and weekend!

For my card today, I combined two sets. I used one of the gnomes and the background image from the GNOME MATTER WHAT Digital Stamp Set, along with a sentiment from the GNOME TALKIE BEFORE COFFEE Digital Stamp Set. I did something a little different for a change and colored up some of the elements digitally in Adobe Photoshop Elements, along with using my Copic Markers. That's the great thing about digital images....you have so many different ways to size and color them.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E04
Hair: W0, W3, W5
Gloves: R83, R85, B01, B05
White: C0, C1, C3, Colorless Blender
Pink/Blue: colored digitally

By coloring the background and her clothes digitally, I was able to get an exact match on the color. For the sentiment, I loaded it into Photoshop and added the pink background before printing so I could match the pink color. The polka dot patterned paper is from my stash.

For added dimension, I raised the girl gnome and sentiment on foam tape.

Your next stop on the Hop is PAM. I'm so excited to be a part of this team! There are so many new images that were released recently, and more to come in the next few weeks...including more gnomes!! It's AMAZING!!

Happy Hopping!

C.C. Designs: Make A Bunny Metal Die

Happy Friday! I felt like this week just flew by! Today I'm sharing some adorable bunny ornaments I created using the Make A Bunny Metal Die from C.C. Designs' FEBRUARY 2020 RELEASE. I LOVE how they turned out! I was thinking about decorating my fireplace mantle for every season, but that idea went out the door after getting behind on making decorations. Maybe next year, LOL!

I cut the bunny shape from chipboard and used two chipboard cut-outs for each bunny. I put the twine hangers in between the two chipboard pieces when gluing together. Then I cut the bunny shape from the decorative paper and glued one shape on the front and one on the back. Two bunnies got bow ties and the two pink bunnies got bows. On the back of the bunnies I glued on little white pom poms for tails.

Here is one of the bunnies hanging on my topiary.

Be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Store and grab your favorites before they sell out!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: HELLO SPRING CUTTING DIE

It's the last day of Stamp Features for The Greeting Farm's February Release. Today, I'm featuring a fabulous cutting die called HELLO SPRING. I absolutely love these big, scripty word dies. They are great as the focal point to any card! I paired this cutting die with some of the characters from the new HAPPY EASTER Stamp Set.

 Copics:
Girl 1 Skin: E13, E15, E18
Girl 1 Hair: E42, E47, E49
Teal: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18, BG78
Yellow: Y04, Y21, YR21, YR23
Girl 2 Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Girl 2 Hair: C2, C8, C10
Pink: RV04, RV06, RV09
Bunny: C0, C1, C2, C3
Bow: YG23, YG67

To create the pastel Hello Spring, I used Zig Markers and scribbled them on watercolor paper. Then I used a wet paintbrush to spread the color around. Once it dried, I cut out the word. Then I cut the word 6 more times from white cardstock and glued all the layers together so it's thick like chipboard. I stamped the chicks at the bottom of the stitched rectangle and then glued the Hello Spring above them. The two girls are raised on foam tape.

Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store and grab your favorites! You're going to LOVE them all!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: JELLIA

It's another day of Stamp Features for The Greeting Farm's February Release. Today, I'm featuring this beautiful mermaid named JELLIA. Isn't she stunning?! I knew I wanted to try my hand at a watercolor background so I stamped her on watercolor paper. I really don't know how to color with watercolors so I decided to use my Copic Markers to color her. Then I used Zig Markers to create the watercolor backdrop. My goal is to try different mediums this year so watercoloring is definitely on my agenda!

Copics:
Skin: E11, E00, E000
Hair: Black, BG18, BG10, BV08, V12
Tail: V12, V15, V17, BV08/BG13, BG18, BG78

To create the background, I scribbled Zig Cobalt Blue and Zig Light Green on an acrylic block and used a wet paintbrush to add the color around her. The sentiment is from another TGF set called Maisea. To finish off the card I added a ribbon bow in the corner.

Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store and grab your favorites! You're going to LOVE them all!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: FLOWER FIELD

Happy Monday everyone! Today, I'm back with The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature showcasing a new stamp set from the February Release called FLOWER FIELD. I think this set is really pretty and very versatile! You can use all the various flowers to create background paper or use bits and pieces to create an awesome garden scene with the TGF characters. I decided to make a Thank You card using the flowers to create a simple backdrop to the fabulous Thank You Cutting Die.

I was going to keep it all black and white, but then decided to color the few butterflies around the sentiment. I love the clean look to this card!

Polka Dot Orchard: I LIKE YOU A LATTE!

Happy Friday and Valentine's Day! I've got a special announcement today. My friend Jessica owns an awesome store called Polka Dot Orchard! She sells digital stamps, along with hand-dyed ribbon/fabric and laser engraved coasters. Her product line is expanding, and when she asked if I wanted to be a part of her Design Team I was so excited and jumped at the opportunity! So today is my first official post as a Polka Dot Orchard Design Team Member...WOO HOO!

Since it is Valentine's Day today, I decided to work with the set called I LIKE YOU A LATTE. I love the cute, adorable coffee cup and the gorgeous calligraphy! My two loves....coffee and fancy lettering! I printed this image on Xpress It Blending Card and colored it with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Red: R24, R27, R29, R56
Coffee Beans: E23, E25, E27, E29
Coffee Cup: C0, C1, C3, Colorless Blender

To create this card I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the image. Then I found some matching decorative paper and cut it to fit the top of the card with a scalloped border die.

Be sure to head over to the Polka Dot Orchard Store to snag your faves. Twenty new digital stamp sets have recently been added including new GNOMES...and you know how much I LOVE gnomes!! Also, if there is a set you are interested in, reach out to me and we can do a Collaboration Wednesday together. Just let me know. It would be so much FUN!

Have a great Friday and weekend!

This month there are 2 new stamp sets and 3 animal metal dies: a cat, a bunny, and a bear. Going forward into the new year, the new releases will be available on the very first day of Showcase Days...YAY!

Today, I'm featuring one of the babies from the OH MY BABY Clear Stamp Set. I love this versatile set because you can make them boy or girl based on how you color them. For this card I went girlie. Isn't she adorable?!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E04
Pink: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09

I used some decorative paper is my stash and added a white doily from Target to the middle. As you know some doilies are very thin so I sometimes glue two together. I stamped a sentiment from an old Fiskars set called Simple Thoughts-Baby. I added foam tape behind the little girl for extra dimension. Of course, I had to finish it off by adding gorgeous I Am Roses flowers to the corner.
