Good Morning & Happy Halloween (for those of you that celebrate it)! :)

It's time for another Inspiration Monday. But before we get to that, did you see the cuties Irina released just in time for Autumn and the Thanksgiving Holiday?! They are NOW available in rubber!! We've got Baking Marci, Luka with Pumpkin (La-La Land's 1st sitting Luka!), Pilgrim Marci and Pilgrim Luka! They are absolutely ADORABLE! So head on over to the STORE and get your NEW stamps so you can get started on your holiday creating! :)

This week our challenge is:

BLING IT!!

There are some amazing creations on the La-La Land Crafts Blog to inspire you from our fabulous DT so you should definitely head over there to see them. :)

Since it is Halloween today, I decided to make a "SPOOKY" display that was inspired by a project I saw in a Cricut Magazine. I think they used blocks, but this is just different sizes of rectangles cut out of chipboard and covered with AWESOME dp from K&Company Halloween. It's covered in lots of STICKLES (for my bling).

I think I'm going to turn it into a wall hanging, but haven't decided yet. For my project I used 2 images: Skeleton Luka and Kitty Kat Marci.......so CUTE and perfect for Halloween!!

Here's a closeup of the letter "S" panel with Skeleton Luka.

Skin: E000, chalk
Hair/Stick: E37, E33, E35

CropStop Challenge #43-Unique Fold

It's Thursday (just in case it slipped your mind, haha), and time for another AWESOME CropStop Challenge. The challenge this week is to make a card with a UNIQUE FOLD (no A2 or square cards).

I tend to be a creature of habit and my usual go-to card is a 6x6 square so when I saw this challenge I wasn't sure what to do. As I was filing some things, I came across a Z-Fold Christmas Card my Auntie Val mailed us last December....then the "AH HA" moment happened. I've been saving that card because I wanted to give it a try!! Then I saw a Z-Fold card on Katie's Blog with a punched border, and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to use my new Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Edge Punch that I just bought from CropStop....LOVE IT! (I've been on the hunt for this butterfly border set for a while and finally found it!)

I colored my Maggies a while ago so I can't remember the colors I used. The double-sided dp is from Basic Grey Indie Bloom. Did you see the cute Heather Flower Soft I used in the basket of Tilda with Flowing Hair?? I think it adds a special touch. :) The red rose is from Recollections and the pink flowers came from my friend Cebelica...thanks sweetie!!

The white doily below is also from my friend Cebelica....she's so awesome! I inked the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. The sentiments on the front and back panels came from the same set, Heartfelt Creations Classic Message....this is my favorite set!!

Here's a list of all the supplies I used from the CropStop Store:
Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics & Chalk
Heather Flower Soft
Stardust Stickles
Scor-pal
1/4" wide Scor-Tape

Spellbinders Heart Circles
Heartfelt Creations-Classic Message
Worn Lipstick Distress Ink

Don't forget you can link up your creation to the CropStop Challenge Blog for a chance at a $15 gift certificate!! And, if you order anything through the store, you can use my discount code, CTRB-2 for an additional 10% off.....who couldn't use some extra savings?!?!

If you stopped by, please leave me some feedback so I know you visited! I love to read your comments! Have a great week and hope to see ya here again soon!

Inspiration Monday-Snowflakes

Good Morning Everyone! It's another Inspiration Monday today. But before I get to that, did you see that Irina just released some more cuties, just in time for Autumn and the Thanksgiving Holiday?! They are sooooo new that they are only available in digi form right now. We've got Baking Marci, Luka with Pumpkin (our very 1st sitting Luka!), Pilgrim Marci and Pilgrim Luka! They are absolutely ADORABLE! So head on over to the STORE and get your new digis so you can get started on your holiday creating! :)

This week our La-La Land Crafts Challenge is:

SNOWFLAKES

I decided to use this cutie called Ice Skating Marci! She's not a new release, but I just love her adorable skating pose! She definitely takes me back to my childhood. When I was little I lived in Germany (my dad was in the Army), and every winter my parents would take us ice skating at the local arena. We always had the best time and I was actually pretty good at it! Of course, now I'm a scaredy cat and a little more afraid of falling on the hard ice....OUCH!!

I've colored her with Copics and chalk.
Skin: E000, chalk
Lips: R20
Hair: E57, E37, E33
Hat: R81, R83, R85, C7, C3, BV23, Liquid Applique
Jacket: C7, C3, BV23, R85
Clothes: R81, R83, R85, Liquid Applique
Socks: R81, R83, R85
Ice Skates: R85, C7, C3, BV23

For my project, I made a snowflake ornament. The wood snowflakes came from my local Hobby Lobby. They had two different styles of snowflakes, so I glued one on top of the other to make mine more dimensional.

The snowflake paper is from The Paper Studio. I added Star Dust Stickles to the middle snowflake and to the royal blue cardstock behind it for extra bling.

Here's a view of my snowflake ornament hanging on the wall. I think it turned out pretty darn cute! :)

Don't forget you can upload your creations all month long to our Customer Gallery so you can be in the drawing at the end of the month for a gift certificate to the Store.

Have a great week!

Rosie

CropStop Challenge #42-Halloween

Happy Thursday y'all! We have another great CropStop Challenge for you this week and it's.....HALLOWEEN!

When Isaiah was little we didn't do much for Halloween because 1.) it's normally pretty darn cold in Oklahoma on Halloween and 2.) he was too little to even know what was going on (plus he didn't eat candy). Now though, he's in school and they always have a party on the Friday before, so he knows he gets candy if he goes around trick-or-treating. Last year was the first year we actually celebrated it. There are not a lot of houses in our neighborhood so I didn't have to worry about him bringing home bags of candy....thank goodness!

For my project today, I found this AWESOME coffin template at Holiday Crafts and Creations. It's already decorated with the wood grain and R.I.P. Once I cut the pieces out, I scored the lines with my Scor-pal. Then all I had to do was assemble it with my Scor-tape, and add my embellishments....quick and easy!!

I used a Martha Stewart Iron Fence border punch and put pop-dots behind it to give it some dimension. I also took my Fabric-Tac glue and draped it across the back of the fence to get some wispy glue strands so it would resemble spider webs (you can see them better in the close-up below). The bat stickers are also from Martha Stewart.

I decided to use this super-cute Magnolia Mini called Mummy Edwin. I don't see him in the CropStop Store at the moment, but there is an Edwin that looks like Dracula.....called Halloween Edwin who would also be perfect for this coffin! I stamped him on X-press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copics, of course!

There is plenty of room on the inside for candy. On the Holiday Crafts and Creations website, they cut out brownies in the shape of the coffin box and then piped a skeleton in white frosting on top of the brownie....so cute and clever (although I'm not sure I would have the time or patience to do 21 of them for Isaiah's class)!

Here's a side view so you can see what it looks like closed. I would definitely tie twine around it if I filled it with candy to keep it closed. :)

Don't forget to upload your Halloween creation to the CropStop Challenge blog for a chance at winning a gift certificate to the store. And, if you use my discount code, CTRB-2, you'll get an additional 10% off your total order (no minimum required)!

Have a great weekend!!

Inspiration Monday-Punch It Out

Good Morning Everyone! It's another Inspiration Monday today. But before I get to that, did you see that Irina just released some more cuties, just in time for Autumn and the Thanksgiving Holiday?! They are sooooo new that they are only available in digi form right now. We've got Baking Marci, Luka with Pumpkin (our very 1st sitting Luka!), Pilgrim Marci and Pilgrim Luka! They are absolutely ADORABLE! So head on over to the STORE and get your new digis so you can get started on your holiday creating! :)

This week our challenge is:

PUNCH IT OUT

I decided to use the new digis Pilgrim Marci and Pilgrim Luka. I just think they are the CUTEST Pilgrims ever!! I colored them with Copics and chalk. To make the border around them I used a corner stamp from Prima and inked it in Wild Honey and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. Then I added dots with a Gold Pearl Pen from Viva.

PILGRIM MARCI
Skin: E000, chalk
Hair: E29, E25, E33
Hat/Dress: YG97, YG95, chalk
Shoes: E37, E33
Basket: E31, chalk
Bread: E50, E31, chalk
Grapes: BV08, V15, colorless blender
Apple: R39, R24

PILGRIM LUKA
Skin: E000, chalk
Hat/Clothes: E31, chalk, black, C7, BV23, C3
Shoes: Black, C7, BV23, C3
Basket: E37, E33
Apples: R39, R24

The cardstock came from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch on my middle panel. The background dp is from Close to My Heart. The amber colored rhinestones came from Michaels and the gold leaves/twigs came from Hobby Lobby.

Here's a side view so you can see some of the dimension. I used pop-dots behind the Marci & Luka panel.

I'd like to thank you all for stopping by and hope you leave a comment so I know you were here! :) You guys are amazing and I always love to read what you have to write!! Don't forget, you have a chance at winning a gift certificate to the STORE by uploading your creations to the Customer Gallery!

CropStop Challenge #41: Use Leaves

Happy Thursday y'all! It's time for another CropStop challenge today and this time we want to see you use LEAVES on your card/project.

What a perfect challenge for this time of year....cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, and if you live in Oklahoma....FOOTBALL Season....GO OU (hee, hee)!!

I have lots of Leaves going on in my card. The background dp from The Paper Studio Affinity has leaves all over it. I used some Recollection Leaves to make a wreath frame for my Mini Tilda (isn't she sooooo CUTE!). The lace is also from The Paper Studio.

The flowers/roses are a combo from Recollections and I Am Roses. The pinecones came from a small bundle that I cut apart. The pearls are from Close To My Heart.

You can see behind my Mini Tilda, I embossed a piece of dp with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and rubbed Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the top. I also distressed some of the flowers with Walnut Stain.

I stamped Tilda on Copic Xpress-It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics and Chalk. I also raised her up on pop-dots for added dimension.

I always score my cards with my handy, dandy Scor-Pal and I tape everything together with Scor-tape (this stuff is amazingly strong!) and Fabri-Tac Glue.

Don't forget you can link up your card to our CropStop Challenge Blog for a chance at winning a free gift certificate to the STORE!! And, if you want additional savings....use my discount code CTRB-2 to save an extra 10% on your order (no minimum required)!! :)

Have a great week and see ya back here soon for some more inspiration!

Rosie

Inspiration Monday-Halloween

Good Morning Everyone! Did you get a chance to check out our BRAND, NEW Release of La-La Land Crafts stamps?? Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen!!! They are in the STORE right now for pre-order and will ship on October 15th, WOO HOO!!

This week our La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Challenge is:

HALLOWEEN

It's hard to believe Halloween is in a few weeks....man this year is flying by!! We already got the little one his Halloween costume. He's been into Mario Brothers lately and wanted to be Luigi this year. It'll be interesting to see if he keeps that mustache on, LOL!

And....you know that means Christmas is right around the corner, right?!?! I'm definitely not ready for that. I always have these big ideas of projects that I'm going to make for the holidays. Then, before I know it, the holidays quickly pounce on me, and I end up buying cards and presents for everyone, haha!

For today's Inspiration I decided to use this uber-CA-UUUTE Pumpkin Marci....perfect for Halloween! I colored her with Copics and chalk. I used a Prima corner stamp for the distressed edge around my image and embossed it in black. Then I smudged Walnut Stain Distress Ink around the edges and almost to the image.

Coloring Medium: Copics & Chalk
Skin: E000, E00, E02, E11, R20, chalk
Lips: R85
Hair: E37, E33
Hat: YR02, YR04, YR09, chalk, G24, YG25, YG41, YG45, E37, E33
Pumpkin Outfit: YR02, YR04, YR09, G24, YG25, YG41, YG45, BV08, V05
Socks: YG45, YG25, YG41
Shoes: E37, E33, E000, chalk
Pumpkin Basket: YR02, YR04, YR09, BV08, V05
Lollipop: BV08, V05, YG25

The halloween dps came from Recollections Ravenhead Manor. The spider web border is from a Martha Stewart border punch. The cool black flower is made using a NEW EK Success punch called Dahlia Petals. I used some MS felt web trim and glued it onto the green dp. The sheer orange ribbon and thin black/polka dot ribbon came from Michaels. The black rose is from WOC (it started off cream and I used my black copic to color it). The pearls in the corners are from Close to my Heart.

You can see in the side view that I used pop-dots behind the panel Marci is on.

Well, that's it for me today! Have a great week and see ya back here on Thursday for my CropStop post. Don't forget you could win a gift certificate to the La-La Land Crafts STORE by uploading your creations to our Gallery!

CropStop Challenge #40: Dainty Doily

Happy Thursday y'all!! It's another GREAT challenge at CropStop today, and it's my turn to post projects this month so I hope you join me every week for something new. :)

School is in session and things are really busy in our household. On top of everything else, my boss asked me to start working every day so now I feel like I have less time to do the stuff I want to do! I know you all can relate!!

Well, let's get on to this week's challenge......DAINTY DOILY! Now, we should see a lot of you Maggie lovers participating cause I know how popular doilies are on your cards! Really they are sooooo versatile and add such a special touch.

The doily is behind my mini Tilda and Edwin...aren't the two love birds soooooo ADORABLE?!! I took a plain, white doily from my stash and stamped over it with a script stamp from Inkadinkado in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. Then I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The beautiful dps came from MME Lost & Found SUNSHINE. The flowers are a combo from Recollections and WOC. The lace trim from WOC started off white and I inked over it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to make it brown. The thin yellow trim on top of the lace is from Affinity (Hobby Lobby). The dark brown pearls in the corners are CTMH.

Here's a closeup of these cute Minis. I stamped my images on Copic X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them with Copics and chalk. I'm still trying to get used to it, but I'm finding it's better to work with a light touch since the ink stays wet on top longer. If you look at Edwin, you can see I paper-pieced his shirt, sweater, and pant cuffs. :)

Here's a side view so you can see the dimension. Tilda and Edwin are sitting up on pop-dots. And, of course, I never create a card without my Scor-Pal and Scor-Tape....the best stuff out there...especially for 3-D projects!!

Well folks, that's it for me! I'm writing this Wednesday evening and I'm just plum tuckered out so I'm off to bed! The kiddo had a friend come over to play this evening, and they have lots of energy so they wore me down! :)

Have a great week and don't forget to link up your card at CropStop for a chance at winning a gift certificate! I hope I see you there!

Hugs,
Rosie

Inspiration Monday-Dots and Spots!

Good Morning Everyone! Did you get a chance to check out the BRAND, NEW Release of La-La Land Crafts stamps?? Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen!!! What....you don't know what I'm talking about? Well then, when you're done here, keep on scrolling down to see my previous post showcasing two of the NEW lovelies. You're going to LOVE them!! All of the new stamps are in the STORE right now for pre-order and will ship on October 15th, WOO HOO!!

It's Monday and you know what that means, right? It's another Inspiration Monday, and this week our challenge is:

Dots & Spots

You can do so much with Dots and Spots! I have to admit, I have tons of papers with all sorts of dots (large dots, small dots, faded dots, etc.). I really need to start using them up and this challenge reminded me how versatile those dots and spots can be!

I decided to use another NEW cutie from the new release called Ruffles Marci. I love the big hair and headband....so adorable!! Now, because the challenge is dots and spots, I was going to add black dots to her headband. But, as you can see, I forgot, LOL!

Coloring Medium: Copics & Chalk
Skin: E000, E00, E02, E11, chalk
Lips: R24, R29
Hair: E37, E33
Headband/Dress: R24, R27, R29
Shoes: C7, black chalk, black sharpie, glossy accents

These gorgeous dps (dots & stripes) are from Recollections Union Square (LOVE IT)! Even the sentiment came from a sheet of dp from this pack. I just cut it out....easy peasy!

The pearls are from Close to my Heart and the lace came from stash. I also raised Marci up on pop-dots for added dimension.

That's it for my pretty simple card. I hope you stop by the La-La Land Crafts blog to see the other beautiful creations from my fellow DT sisters. And, if you scroll down to the previous post from October 1st, you'll get to see a ton of projects showcasing the awesome Newbies! Don't forget, you can link your projects to our Customer Gallery for a chance to win a La-La Land Crafts gift certificate!

Have a great week and see ya soon! I hope if this is your first time here, you leave a comment and become a follower! I love to read what you have to write and I'm going to be offering some amazing candy when I get to 200 followers!

Hugs!

OCTOBER 1st--New Release at La-La Land Crafts!

Happy Saturday Everyone!! Y'all READY for THIS!!!!

Today is a special day because it's World Card Making Day, a day for the card making community to unite and celebrate the connection and creativity that is the heart of card making! When it was founded in 2006, it was exclusive to the Paper Crafts magazine audience only. However, due to its popularity, the "holiday" grew to include everyone world-wide. Celebrating the start of its sixth year, World Card Making Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October!

AND, because it's WCMD and October 1st......La-La Land Crafts is bringing you a NEW RELEASE!! Did y'all hear me?!?! That means 8 brand spanking NEW images!! I know I say this about every release, but these new images.....TOTALLY ROCK! They've even introduced a Harajuku Collection!! (do you see me smiling from ear to ear?!)

Y'all are in for an amazing treat, so head on over to the La-La Land Crafts Blog to see ALL the gorgeous creations from my talented DT sisters. Then RUN over to the La-La Land Crafts Store to snag your own cuties!! They are currently available for Pre-Order, and will ship on October 15th!!

The first cutie I'm showcasing is called AUTUMN MARCI. I think she's oh so tres chic!! When I saw her Beret, I remembered I had a similar hat in Leather and Houndstooth, can you believe it?!

Coloring Medium: Copics & Chalk
Skin: E000, R20, chalk
Hair: E29, E37, E33
Hat: Houndstooth Ribbon, Black Copic, Glossy Accents
Jacket/Boots: C7, C3, chalk, Glossy Accents
Shirt/Skirt/Gloves/Socks: R81, chalk, stickles
Houndstooth scarf/belt: Stamped

I was on the search for some dp with the houndstooth pattern and couldn't find any. But at my local Hobby Lobby, I did find an awesome stamp set from Glitz Design called Distressing (D2961) and it had a stamp with the houndstooth pattern...YIPPEE! So I stamped the pattern over a second image of Autumn Marci and then paper-pieced her scarf and belt.

Here's my French-inspired Easel Card. :) The dps came from MME Lost & Found Madison Avenue & Market Street (love these 6x6 pads!). The post card dp is from the Paper Studio. The Houndstooth ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I even used it to ribbon-piece her beret! Then I colored the bottom of her beret with a black Copic and topped it with Glossy Accents.

The large flower is from Jolee's boutique and the little one on the bow is from WOC. The large Eiffel Tower on the top of the card is a 3-D sticker from La Petites by the Paper Studio. The Eiffel Tower on the bottom part of the card is a stamp Stampabilites (IR1028). I bought the gold rhinestones by Studio 18 at Michaels.

My next cutie patootie image reminds me of my son and is called BEDTIME LUKA. Isn't he adorable?!?!?!

Skin: E000, chalk
Hair: E37, E33, E02
Clothes: Paper-pieced, shaded with black chalk

These gorgeous dps are also MME Lost and Found Christmas. I just added some ribbon from my stash and made a double loop bow with my bow easy. Because the dps were so beautiful, I didn't add much to cover them up. I also used the same gold rhinestones in the corners.

I hope you enjoy this new release as much as I do! The images are so AWESOME and I know that all of these cuties are going to find their way into my home! I can't wait to create with ALL of them!! This may be my favorite release yet (although I think I say that about each of them)!

Remember you can purchase your own at the La-La Land Crafts Store! Head over there and pre-order yours now so you can be one of the first ones to own them! :)

Have a great weekend!!
Rosie :)
