I Am Roses + Conie Fong's Bella and Benji

Happy Thursday everyone! Today, my card features the beautiful flowers from I Am Roses with Conie Fong's Bella and Benji. I have always loved bears ever since I was little. When I was in my 20s I started collecting BOYD BEARS. They are so adorable and have so much character....much like Conie Fong's bear digital stamps. I absolutely LOVE this one!! And to make it even better, I added I Am Roses flowers. I think their flowers always add extra OOMPH to any card!

I cut the scalloped square using a My Favorite Things Die. The paper, ribbon, and red rhinestones came from my stash.

C.C. Designs: SPRING THINGS

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm showcasing a card for C.C. Designs featuring SPRING THINGS. It's one of the new stamps recently release as part of the C.C. Designs February Release.

 

In addition to new stamps, they also released a new Cloud and Grass Border Die, 2 new paper pads, and 2 sets of coordinating enamel dots. The paper pads are 6"x6" and have 16 designs with 2 sheets of each design. The shiny dots have the color throughout the entire dot, while the clear dots have the color in the base, but the dome is clear (almost like a mirror effect).

 

I used lots of goodies to create this card including the Cloud and Grass Border die to cut the grass for the center panel. The In and Out Circle Metal Die was used to cut out the white scallop frame. The blue heart paper and green polka dot paper are from the new Hearts and Dots Paper Pad.

 

  

I framed the circles with some beautiful I Am Roses Flowers and also included a pink bow.

I decided to create a scene card using these chubby cuties! I LOVE the movie Kung Fu Panda so I decided to create a Panda Village scene with some washi paper from my stash.

Lee Holland Art: Teddy with Heart Balloon

Happy Thursday and Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you have an amazing day! Since it's Valentine's Day, I had to make a card celebrating LOVE. I'm also celebrating today because it's my first post as a Design Team Member for Lee Holland Art! I love his digital stamps!!

My card features an adorable bear from Lee Holland Art called Teddy with Heart Balloon. This cute bear is part of a LOVE BUNDLE in Lee Holland's Etsy Store at a special price! I decided to go a nontraditional route with this cute bear by coloring the bear pink and adding a plaid design to the nose, stomach and bottom of the foot. For the background, I created a bokeh effect using Copic Markers. I just added dots in the colors listed below around the image. Then I dipped a Q-tip into Colorless Blender Solution and pressed the Q-tip onto the paper in a random pattern.

I used some decorative paper in my stash. To finish it off, I added beautiful flowers from I Am Roses. I think they really frame the image well, and are the perfect embellishment to this bear image.

Make it Crafty: Marika Loves You

Happy Tuesday everyone! My card today features a gorgeous digital image from Make it Crafty called Marika Loves You. I love the images from the MiC Store! They have a huge variety so you can find something for pretty much any occasion, and they are so much fun to color!!

I used some decorative paper from an older paper pad called My Mind's Eye Cupid's Arrow No.14 for the background. Then I placed foam tape behind my image to pop her off the card for added dimension. This card was so easy to put together!

 

 

 Don't forget to check out the amazing Coloring Tutorials on the Make it Crafty website. I’ve taken the skin and hair ones previously and they are valuable resources! These classes are very affordable and provide so much step-by-step instruction that you will be coloring like a pro in no time. 

 

Zoe also started a site called The Coloring Lab. There is a FREE class on the site now that is fantastic for beginners, but also a great refresher for those who are advanced.  When I saw the MONKEYS Clear Stamp Set, I knew I wanted to create a scene with the monkeys coming out of a barrel. I went on the hunt for some clipart and found this one online HERE.  I printed it about 3 inches high, cut it out, and used my craft knife to cut a slit at the top of the barrel for the monkeys to pop out of.

I die-cut a couple of the cloud borders from cardstock and used that as my template to rub distress oxide ink against to create the cloud background. Next, I used more Distress Oxide Ink to color up the top and bottom panels of the card and cut them out using the grass border dies. I LOVE these monkeys!! I had so much fun creating this card!!

C.C. Designs Preview Day 2: SPRING THINGS

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, we are on Day 2 of Previews of the February Release at C.C. Designs. The release will be available for purchase on February 7th at 12pm CST. 

There are two adorable stamps sets, MONKEYS and SPRING THINGS, a new Cloud and Grass Border Die, 2 new paper pads, and 2 sets of coordinating enamel dots. The paper pads are 6"x6" and have 16 designs with 2 sheets of each design. The shiny dots have the color throughout the entire dot, while the clear dots have the color in the base, but the dome is clear (almost like a mirror effect).

 

I'm showcasing SPRING THINGS with several of the new products! This set is so adorable, and can be used for so many different occasions. My hubby likes to walk or prance by me and say HEY CUUUUUUUUTIE, and it seriously makes me smile or giggle every single time (especially when he does the prancing, LOL). When I saw the sentiments I just had to create this scene to represent us. :)

 

 

To create the cloud background, I cut out two cloud borders from the Cloud and Grass Border die. I used them as my "stencil", and rubbed Distress Oxide Ink over the bubble edge. The green polka dot paper (grass) is from the Hearts and Dots Paper Pad. It was cut with one of the grass border dies. The square scallop frame was created using the In and Out Square Metal Die. The colorful, striped paper is from the Razzle Dazzle Paper Pad. To finish it off, I added Razzle Dazzle Shiny Dots in the corners, along with a big bow.

  I used the new In and Out Rectangle Metal Cutter to create the black scallop border at the top of the card. The sentiment was stamped from the LOVE YOU Sentiments Clear Set. I cut apart the words Love and You so I could stamps the words on top of each other.
