Happy Friday everyone! Have you checked out this month's monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom? The theme for August is FALLING FOR FALL. You still have time to play along with us. The deadline to link up your card is 10/03 at 11:59pm PST for a chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice!
Today, I'm showing off a wall hanging I made using the FANCY PUMPKIN DIE. I needed more fall inspired things around the house and I found this awesome blank wall hanging in the dollar spot at Target for $5. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but then the fabulous Fancy Pumpkin Die came out and I had an "AHA" moment! I found some plaid stickers in my stash and voila my home decor project was complete!
I cut the main pumpkin die from patterned paper from different paper pads, and glued the outline die cut on top. I colored the stem piece with a brown sharpie and glued it back inside the die cut out. The leaves are from the FALL DIES Set. I inked the edges of the leaves with Espresso Distress Oxide and glued two leaves together. The swirly piece is from the Fancy Pumpkin Set. I added foam tape behind the pumpkins so they are raised off the board a little
I found these awesome stickers in my stash, but wanted to give the letters more stability and also give myself a way to line up the letters on the board without sticking them down yet. I decided to stick the letters on white cardstock and fussy cut each one out. Then I laid them on the board and use a ruler to line them up where I wanted them. Once I got them arranged how I wanted them, I ran the letters through my Xyron Sticker Maker.
Here's my project displayed in my kitchen next to my fall tiered tray. I am still working on the tiered thing. It needs some different pieces that are still "work in progress" right now, LOL!
