Jaded Blossom: Pinecone Die Christmas Card

Happy Friday everyone! I hope the new year is going well for you! I know the holidays are over, but I had this card idea in my head for a few weeks and decided to give it a go. I saw a printable card online and wanted to see if I could recreate something similar using the Pinecone Die and Be Merry Stamp Set.

The first thing I did was cut out multiple pieces of the various shapes from white cardstock. Then I placed them on the black cardstock to figure out how things would fit. Once I settled on the design, I took a picture for reference.

Next, I used my embossing buddy to add powder to the sentiment area to remove oils from my fingers. This keeps the embossing powder from sticking to areas around the sentiment. I figured out the placement of the sentiment and stamped it in the middle using Versamark Ink.

I left the unglued die-cut pieces on the edge of the black cardstock so I had a guideline of where to stamp the sentiment. After I stamped the sentiment, I carefully removed the die-cut pieces and then added white embossing powder to the sentiment and heat set it.

Now, this is where your picture comes into play. You will want to reference it to add the die-cut pieces back on the edge of the black cardstock. Once you like the arrangement, glue the pieces down and trim off the edges. The final step is to adhere the black panel to the white card base.

Remember, we have a monthly challenge on the Jaded Blossom Blog. This month the theme is COFFEE. We hope you play along with us for a chance to win a FREE Stamp Set! Be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store for all your stamps and gift giving supplies. They have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.

 Hugs,
Rosie
