The APRIL 2020 RELEASE from C.C. Designs is NOW available for purchase!! Be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Store
to pick up yours today. This month there are 3 new stamp
sets, including some more Swiss Pixies!
Today, I
used this fabulous girl called UMBRELLA SWISSIE. Isn't she awesome?! I stamped her on Xpress It Coloring Card, and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper-pieced her umbrella and rain boots using paper from the Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pad. The boots didn't have enough dots so I added more with my Copics.
Copics:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Pink: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09, R39
Teal: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG78
Purple: V12, V15, V17
Leggings: RV02, RV06, BG10, BG13
Dots on Boots: R37, YR04, Y13, YG23, B23, V15
I remember a few years ago there were a ton of crayon melting tutorials going around creating "rain" around a silhouette of a person holding an umbrella. I knew I wanted to recreate something like that when I saw this umbrella image. A lot of my craft stuff is still in boxes from moving, and I haven't yet located my stash of crayons or my heat gun. I decided to recreate the idea using my Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers. I think it turned out pretty good! I will have a detailed tutorial for this technique later in the month (on April 14th) on the C.C. Designs Blog!
The sentiment is part of the Umbrella Swissie set. In the set you will see it is one long sentence. But I wanted the "rain or shine" to be underneath so I cut it apart. That's one of the advantages of clear stamps. If you cut the sentiment apart it's easy to piece back together if you want the sentiment to be long again.
Be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Store and grab your favorites before they sell out!
Hugs,
Rosie
