Jaded Blossom: Happy Birthday To Moo!

 Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with my latest project for Jaded Blossom. I had a cute cow mug and some cow caramels so I put them together with my Jaded Blossom stamps and dies to create this Moo-velous birthday gift. I used the Treat Tag Die with the small cow from Out On The Farm Stamp Set, along with some digital cow paper to create a coordinating tag.

While I was at it, I decided to create a mini card to go with the set. I cut my card base at 4.25 x 4.25. The larger cow and the sentiment are from the Cow Patties Stamp Set.

I love that there is a small cow from Out On The Farm and a larger cow from Cow Patties that coordinate with each other! It made putting this Cow Birthday gift together easy-peasy.

Jaded Blossom February 2023 Challenge: MONOCHROMATIC!

 Happy Sunday friends! It's the first Sunday of the month and that means we have a brand new challenge at Jaded Blossom.

 Our next challenge is ...

MONOCHROMATIC!
(must use at least 1 JB product)

For my project today, I used the Treat Tag Die with the Pig Out Stamp Set to create a pink tag to go with this cute pig mug with piggy gummies. I found the gummies on Amazon.

To create the tag, I cut all the pieces from white Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I then added Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink to the various pieces of cardstock so all the layers coordinated. I even splattered some of the ink on the white tag area.

 

 
I put the mug inside a clear Gusset Bag and then tied the tag to the outside with pink/white twine.

I Am Roses + Conie Fong's Gnome with Balloon

Happy Monday friends! Today's card is for I Am Roses, and features their gorgeous paper flowers with this digital image from Conie Fong called Gnome with Balloon. I love this sweet, adorable guy! 

 

I printed him on Copic Xpress It Blending Card, colored him with Copic markers, and fussy cut him out. Next, I cut a circle from watercolor paper and used VersaMagic Chalk Ink with a stencil to create a colorful cloud background. I adhered the gnome with balloon to the cloud background with foam tape for dimension.

To complete the card I added beautiful IAR flowers along with some ribbon from my stash. My fave flowers right now are the multicolored Unicorn flowers. Aren't they gorgeous?!! I generally use the R43 Peony flower as my center focal point and then build out from there. This card also has white cherry blossoms and small white flowers.

Conie Fong: GOODNIGHT BENJI

Happy Saturday friends! Today, I'm sharing a card using one of Conie Fong's newest digital images called Goodnight Benji. I absolutely LOVE bears and the ones Conie creates are so sweet and adorable! The great thing about this image is that is can be used for both boy and girl cards.

 I created the night sky for this image using Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Ink, Nocturne Versafine Clair Ink, and a white gel pen on watercolor paper. My friend Jennifer Rustioni is an amazing colorist and also does these fabulous inky backgrounds for her images. I love the halo look she achieves so I gave it a try. I need to practice a little more on the twinkle stars, but overall I'm pleased with how it turned out.

 I did print the image on Xpress It Blending Card and fussy cut it out to glue to the sky panel because I like to color my images using Copic markers. One day I'll try watercoloring, but that's definitely going to take lots of practice, LOL!

Jaded Blossom: BEARY SWEET

 Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with my latest project for Jaded Blossom. My amazing nephew, Tyler, started his first year of college at the University of Kansas so I'm putting together a care package for him. I wanted to make this bag of gummy bears special so I created a bag topper.

I used the bears from the Beary Sweet Stamp Set along with the Outline Dies. I stamped the outline of the bears in black. Next, I stamped the bear shadow using Versamark Embossing Ink and rubbed a darker chalk over the ink. This gave me a subtle shadow for each bear. I decided to put the sentiment from Love You Beary Much Stamp Set in the handle area so I could fit the bears along the bottom in a row.

 

 

I wanted my bag topper to coordinate with the Haribo Goldbears packaging so I used red and gold cardstock with the XL Topper Die. This die is one of my faves because it works perfectly with the snack bag size.

I created this scene in MS Word, and printed it on Xpress It Blending Card. Aren't these characters the cutest?!! I love the pizza chef!!

For the two birthday cards, I stamped the outline of the bear on patterned papers without the shadow stamp. I used the outline die to cut them out, and raised them on foam tape. To create the border at the top, I took the same paper and cut a scallop border using Border Dies 2.

I kept the next two cards clean and simple. For these two bears I stamped the outline and shadow part of the bear on patterned paper. I adhered the bears to an A2 card base using foam tape.

 Today, I created a card using this adorable pug that is part of the Diamond Press Love Bandit Stamp/Die Set. This set has several cute animals with coordinating sentiments and is perfect for Valentine's Day!

 

 
To step it up a notch, I added gorgeous IAR flowers in the corner. The large red flower is R-43 Peonies. I love to use these flowers as my focal point. I then surrounded it with white cherry blossoms, some smaller red roses, and mini green leaves. The cute paper is from Doodlebug Design.
