The summer just flew by, didn't it?!?! I'm a little shocked that school will be starting soon for my little man. He starts full day kindergarten this year! Kind of exciting and kind of sad at the same time.
I've been on vacation the past couple of weeks visiting my mom in WA. It was a wonderful break from the over 100 degree weather we're experiencing in Oklahoma. The weather was in the 70s and 80s....gorgeous! I'll post pictures later of my mom's beautiful garden....it's absolutely amazing and a lot of hard work. She's almost 68 and does all the yard work herself. I'll have pictures up in a couple of days. :)
This week's challenge at CropStop is a sketch challenge by our wonderfully talented Gloria! Here's my take on the sketch using Tilda with 3 Flowers. The dps came from the Paper Studio Affinity paper pack. The cream cardstock is from CTMH. The sentiment is from a new Workshop-On-The-Go stamp set from the new CTMH catalog. I stamped it in white, but it didn't show up very well. So, I went over the letters with an Inkssentials White Opaque Pen....PERFECT! The butterfly border on the top and bottom was made using the MS Monarch Butterfly Deep Edge Punch.
I colored Tilda with 3 Flowers with Copics and did my shading with chalk. I added Stardust Stickles to her clothes. The rolled paper roses are made from CTMH cardstock and covered with Diamond Stickles.
Here's the side view. I punched out additional butterflies using the MS Medium Double Punch, added Diamond Stickles, and raised the wings when I glued the bodies down. I also raised Tilda on pop-dots along with the square frame she's on.

It feels great to be back in my craft room.....that is one thing I truly missed while on vacation!! I had some posts scheduled while I was on vacation so it may not have seemed like I was MIA....technology is great! This month is going to be a busy one so keep checking back okay. I'll be having more candy too. :)Big hugs to you all!
