Dies R Us: ELEGANT EMBOSSED CHRISTMAS CARDS

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's Rosie here today showing how I created these elegant, embossed Christmas cards using Tutti Designs Dies. They came together pretty quickly, and I think they would be perfect as boxed sets to give to family and friends.

Here is how I created them!

Step 1: I die-cut the Tutti Designs Fir Trees Arch Scene (this die is sold out now, but you can really use any of their dies for these cards) and Viney Christmas Tree from white cardstock.

Step 2: Next, I used a makeup brush and gently rubbed Versamark Embossing Ink over the die-cut.

Step 3: On this die-cut I poured Gold Embossing Powder over the top.

Step 4: I shook off the excess and used my heat gun to heat the gold embossing powder.

Step 5: Now this is where the magic happens. I repeat the process and rub the die again with Versamark, add more embossing powder on top and heat set it a 2nd time. You will get a thicker and smoother texture to your embossed die!

Step 6: I did the same thing to the Fir Trees Arch Scene, but this time I used Silver Embossing Powder. I also used silver on the Lawn Fawn Merry Christmas Border Die.

Step 7: I decided to create 5 x 7 cards to showcase these embossed dies. The card base is 5 x 7. The silver and gold paper are cut to 4.5 x 6.5. The top panels are 4.25 x 6.25.

Tip: If you can't find silver or gold metallic paper, cut some white cardstock, rub the edges with Versamark, pour embossing powder along the edges and heat emboss. You now have embossed paper. :)

Step 8: I then glued the embossed die-cuts to the top panel, and put the rest of the card together using Scor-Tape. You want to use Best Glue Ever or Art Glitter Glue with the Fineline Applicator Tip to get a thin line on your intricate die cuts.

Here are the products I used:

Tutti Designs Viney Christmas Tree Die

Tutti Designs Fir Trees Arch Scene Die
(sold out, but you can use any Tutti Die)

Lawn Fawn Merry Christmas Border Die
