Yumi & Fumi Challenge--NO Patterned Paper!

Happy Sunday to all of you! We hope you've had a great week so far. :) You do realize it's the middle of October, right? Do you also realize there are only 72 more days until Christmas....yeah, CRAZY! Just thought I'd throw that little reminder out there for ya (wink, wink).

Today also marks the first challenge for the month of OCTOBER on the Yumi and Fumi Blog, which means this challenge has a prize attached to it, WOO HOO!!
The lucky winner will receive 1 Y&F Rubber Stamp of our choice! We will pick one Prize Winner and 3 Top Picks.

Today we have a new challenge to announce!

Our challenge for the next two weeks is:

No Patterned Paper!

You MUST use a Yumi & Fumi Handmade, Sister Stamps, La-La Land Crafts or The Greeting Farm image to participate in our challenges. Any project not using these images will be deleted.

Please take the time to review all of the Challenge Rules HERE to make sure you qualify (the rules are under "Challenge Info" at the top tab). You have until Saturday, October 27th, 11am PST to link up your new project on the Yumi and Fumi Blog (one entry per blog please).
For my project today I used the super CA-UTE Chasezilla!! He's just the most adorable thing ever!! I colored him with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card.
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Eyes/Eyebrows: E47, E44
Suit: G21, G24, G28, YR21, YR22

I was inspired by a frame I saw in Pinterest. I'm always pinning stuff to my boards every day, but generally I don't have to time to make anything from it.....sound familiar?!?! Well, this time I decided to put all that pinning to use!! For my projected today, I used a really cheap wood frame from Walmart. I covered the top of the frame with different sizes of googly eyes that I found at Hobby Lobby. Then I dry embossed some green cardstock with Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles. I cut out different circles from the green paper and glued them on randomly. To bring out some of the texture I rubbed a little black ink over certain parts.

The cute Halloween ribbon came from Michaels. I also found this awesome Martha Stewart felt spider web trim at Michaels too.
I hope you liked my Halloween Frame!! I will say it took forever to glue down all those googly eyes....which is why I only did half the frame, LOL! Now, don't forget to come by and "like" our Facebook Fan Page, so you can stay up-to-date, get your challenge reminders, and share your stuff!! Please join us in our challenges too.....we would love to see your beautiful cards/projects!

Have a great week and see you here soon!

Love & Hugs!!
Rosie :)

  1. Only 72 days til Christmas?! Wow, that'll pass before you know it. Not that I am complaining though. I LOVE Christmas (that's my favourite time of the year). :D Would you believe that I have already bought one and half Christmas presents? I'd like to think I'm being organized, but knowing me, I will start early and then for the rest I'll just do some last minute shopping. *sigh*
I love Pinterest too, but I am not on the site every day. Not yet anyway, because I don't have time. But once things calm down a bit, I think I'll be there much more. ;)
I think these eyes have been really polular recently. I've seen many people using them. But I have never seen them used the way you did on your frame. Very clever idea. And it looks good too. :)
    Hugs! xx
