Hi everyone! We announced some great news at CropStop last week....did you see it? Our very own sketch designer, Gloria, is officially on the Spellbinders 2011 Team!! To celebrate her awesome news, we did a little twist on our Sketch Challenge. If you follow the sketch AND use a Spellbinder product, you will be entered for a chance to win a Spellbinder gift from CropStop!!
Before I continue with my card, I want to remind you of my blog candy that runs through Friday, March 11th. All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on the original post here. This week, I was able to snag a few extra copies of the "Will you be my Valentine" Magnolia Ink magazine. Since I now have over 100 followers, YIPPEE, I'm going to add a magazine to the prize package along with some additional stamped Magnolia images!! The prize is growing! :)
Okay, here is Gloria's awesome sketch:
I kept my card pretty simple because I wanted to get it done asap. Here it is (you can click on the pictures for a larger view):
I flipped the sketch and put the sentiment strips on the left side and Little Bunny Tilda on the right side in place of the flowers. My frame is an older Spellbinder Die called Scalloped Edge Frame. I don't think it's available any longer, but you could use Lacey Squares instead. The lamb paper is from American Traditional Designs Welcome Baby Boy paper pack. The cardstock is from my stash. I embossed the yellow panel with Quickutz Diamonds and Dots. The pink and yellow flower ribbon was a freebie from Diana with Magnolia-licious for placing a $60 order.
Little Bunny Tilda is colored with Copics and chalk. I used some Ultra Fine Citrus Crush Flower Soft on her bunny ears and tummy...I LOVE THIS STUFF!! It gets really great coverage in the smaller areas because it's really fine. I used Glossy Accents as my glue for the flower soft. The thin nozzle helps me control my glue placement.
The eggs actually came from some Easter ribbon I received from Crafty Ribbons located here. I cut the eggs out of the ribbon and put Glossy Accents on the back around the edges to keep the ribbon from fraying. Once the GA was dry, I added popdots to the back and popped them on my card.
Here's a side view so you can see the dimension:
You have until Wednesday evening, March 9th, to link up your project (yes, that's tomorrow evening). It can be a card, scrapbook page, altered item, etc. As long as it follows the sketch, you can link it up. Don't have a blog? Then join the CropStop Gallery for free and load the picture of your project there. I hope to see more of you wonderful crafters participating in our challenges.
Hugs!
Rosemary :)
