I Am Roses + Conie Fong's Daisy Bunny Bouquet

 Happy Sunday friends! Mother's Day is right around the corner so I'm getting some cards made for my mom and mother-in-law. They both LOVE purple so this is the first one I've created with a purple theme. I combined gorgeous paper flowers from I Am Roses with this fabulous digital stamp from Conie Fong called Daisy Bunny Bouquet. 

 

I generally use the R43 Peony flower as my center focal point and then build out from there. I then added purple cherry blossoms, some lavender roses, and white small flowers.

Jaded Blossom: Can't Have A Rainbow Without A Little Rain + Gnome Face Tutorial

 Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with my latest project for Jaded Blossom. I'm having a blast with the last release so I've created another scene card. My gnome is outside enjoying a cup of coffee, the warm sun, and beautiful rainbow!

I've been asked a lot in the Jaded Blossom Facebook Group how I create the face on the gnome so keep scrolling through this post for a short tutorial. :)

To create this card, I used the Gnome Dies with the Weather Add Ons (rain hat, sun, and cloud). The rainbow is from the Rainbow Dies. The grassy knoll was cut out using the grass border die from Mushroom Dies. I raised the sun, rainbow, and cloud on foam tape for extra dimension.

Now for the long awaited Gnome Face Tutorial. You're gonna be surprised at how easy it is. :)

 

Step 1: Cut your gnome body from white paper. Since I color with Copic Markers, I cut the gnome from Xpress It Blending Card. Now, all you do is color in the bottom portion of the "hat" in skin tone colors to create the face. I used E000, E00, E01, E11, and E13. You can use any skin tone coloring medium you have....colored pencils, markers, or crayons! If you don't want to mess with colorong, then just cut the gnome shape from cream or tan cardstock...easy peasy!

**NOTE: If you want him to have rosy cheeks you can use a cotton swab with pink chalk and add it to the lower sides of his face. If you want to add cheeks closer to his nose, then do this step now before you glue down his mustache.

 

Step 2: I cut the rest of the pieces I was going to use from Copic Xpress It Blending Card and once again used my Copic Markers to color in the pieces.
Do you see the hands by the nose piece? Those are going to be his ears!

Step 3: Adhere his beard, mustache, and nose using glue. Next grab a black pen because we are going to draw in his eyes.

Step 4: I just free-hand the eyes using the Copic Multiliner Pen and color little oval shapes. If you have stamps, you could also use those.

Step 5: Next, you are going to add the extra set of hands to the sides of his head for ears. I usually lay my hat over the top of his head to gauge where his ears should go.

Step 6: The last step is to add his hat and whatever he is holding (coffee mug in this case). I did something a little different with the rain hat this time around. I used my cutting knife and cut a slit along the perforated line so I could slide his head under the rain hat. I liked it better because I was able to line up the hat right above his eyes and his ears.

Jaded Blossom April Showers Mini Release!

 Happy Monday friends! It's time for the April Showers Mini Release at Jaded Blossom. I am so excited about this fabulous release! When you love the amazing products coming out, it's so much fun creating with them! My creative juices really kicked in with these weather add ons.

For my first card, I created a male gnome in his rain gear ready to bring out the sun on a rainy day. The background was created using the new Diagonal Card Mat along with some pattern paper.

The cloud is from the new Gnome Dies: Weather Add On. I colored it with some gray Copics and then raised it on foam tape. The sentiment is from Rainy Days which is cut out using the Rainy Days Outline Dies. I also raised the gnome and sentiment on foam tape for extra dimension.

On my 2nd card for this release, I created a girl gnome with a umbrella who's been swept up into the rain by a strong gust of wind. Isn't her pineapple pattern umbrella cute? To create the background, I used the Raindrop Stencil (on sale in the shop!) and Distress Oxide Ink on light blue paper. I then cut a white panel using the cloud border die in the Border Dies 2 Set, inked it up using some Copic Markers, and added to the top of the card with foam tape.

I gave my girl gnome a little face, and used the leg die included in the Weather Add Ons to create her arms. The sentiment is from the Rainy Days Stamps Set.

The Greeting Farm April 2023 Stamp Feature Day 3: HELLO

Happy Thursday friends! We are on our last day of Stamp Features for the April 2023 New Release at The Greeting Farm. This month, TGF introduced 3 new stamp sets which are all available now for purchase. Claudette, Joni and I are on The Greeting Farm Blog showcasing the new release.

Today's set is called HELLO and features the word "hello" in various fonts. It also comes with several add-on sentiments to create a phrase. I knew I wanted to use the dog inside the box from the stamp set All Work No Play and put it on an action wobble, but I was a little stumped on the card design. My friend, Renate, came to the rescue and suggested I try to create a scene of the dog throwing the letters out of the box. I took on her challenge and this is what I came up with...

 

Using pattern paper, I created a living room scene. I stamped the word HELLO on white cardstock using green ink and blue ink to coordinate with the floral paper and fussy cut each letter apart. I created an action strip using white cardstock and drawing black lines. I raised the action strip and the letter H on foam tape.

Today, I created a card featuring an adorable stamp set called RAIN OR SHINE. This set comes with two girls holding umbrellas along with all the elements to create an awesome spring scene. 

 
I used almost all of the stamps included in the set from the clouds with the rainbow, to the little puddles, ducks, paper boat, and little flowers. The background Sunburst Card Mat is from Jaded Blossom.

The Greeting Farm April 2023 Stamp Feature Day 1: ALL WORK NO PLAY

Today, I created a slimline scene card featuring these playful puppies using this new stamp set called ALL WORK NO PLAY! I used digital paper from various paper packs to create the living room scene. All the images from the puppies to the torn paper to the stuffie, along with the sentiment came from the All Work No Play Stamp Set.

 

This scene just makes me smile! I had so much fun coloring up the puppies and accessory stamps. It's definitely a must-have for your stamp collection!

 Today, I created a 6x6 card using a brand new digital release from Conie Fong called Rosealea Mermaid. Isn't she gorgeous?! I had a lot of fun coloring her! 

 

 
To step it up a notch, I added gorgeous IAR flowers in two of the corners. The large flower is the R-43 style of flower. I almost always use this as my large flower. Next, I added white cherry blossoms, followed by dark teal flowers, and finishing with green flowers and leaves.

 

I kept with mostly greens and blues for this card. The background paper is from a Honey Bee 6x6 Paper Pad called Team Tie-Dye.
