Dies R Us: Thinking of You with Gorjuss Little Fishes Die!

Happy Sunday everyone! It's Rosie here today sharing this card using one of the Gorjuss Girl dies. I LOVE these characters so when they came out with dies that allow you to make your own paper dolls I had to buy every single one! I paired her with the Sue Wilson Circle Scene-Garden Die to create this fabulous scene card.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card.
The first step was to cut out all the pieces for the paper doll. I decided to cut some of the pieces from white and color them in to get more depth to my image. I also colored parts of the cut-outs in black so that when I layered the pieces there wouldn't be a white border.

The next step was to start gluing the pieces together. These dies do not have step-by-step instructions so I hope this tutorial gives you a better idea of how to layer all the pieces. I glued the large hair piece behind the main image since that is the back part of her hair. Then the blue bottom portion of her dress goes on top of the main doll form. On the 2nd body form I glued on the dress. On the head, I glued the headband to the hair piece first and then glued her hair to the face cut-out.

Next, I glued the dress/leggings cut-out to the top of the main body.

Finally her face and bow were glued on.

To create the card, I used the Sue Wilson Circle Scene-Garden Die Set. The great thing about the fence, grass, and flower dies is that you can form a long continuous piece because the ends are not scored to cut the paper! Then you can come back in and line up the circle die to cut it where you want. Or if you want to use it to create a scene on a rectangle or square card, you have that option because you can keep layering the die to make a long continuous piece....AWESOME!

To create the circle scene, I cut out two circles from watercolor paper and colored in some sky and grass. The 2nd circle was used to cut out the grassy panel at the bottom of the card.

And....here is the completed card! I raised the girl and sentiment on foam squares for added dimension.

Dies R Us: Sealed with a Kiss

Happy Thursday everyone! It's Rosie here today sharing this cute gift card envelope featuring Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! I am a mom of one son and I'm always looking for quick and easy projects for teacher gifts. While this particular project is more lovey dovey, it can easily be adapted to a teacher theme!

++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this envelope.

The first step in making this was to pick out paper with a pattern on both sides. This makes for a cuter, decorated inside and outside. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Envelope Die to cut out the large heart shape.

After folding on the scored lines, I cut out the heart and glued just the top of the heart to the folded flap.

Underneath the heart I added double stick tape so it can be sealed later.

To decorate the front of the envelope I pulled out Lawn Fawn Sealed With A Kiss. Aren't these seals adorable?! And the best part......no coloring! I just stamped them on light gray cardstock, cut them out, and then used Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges.

After stamping the sentiment, I doodled around the edge of the rectangle and then added enamel dots. The seals and M'WAH speech bubble are raised on foam squares.

The envelope needed a gift card so I grabbed one from my purse to show that they fit perfectly in the heart envelope!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: MEGA-MINI SUMMER

It's hard to believe it's already Wednesday! Man this week is flying by! I traveled back from Europe yesterday. We had an awesome vacation, but I missed my bed and crafting! It felt great to get back into my studio while doing laundry and cleaning. So today, I'm back with a bright, summery card featuring another brand new set from The Greeting Farm called MEGA-MINI SUMMER! I think the characters in this set are sooooo adorable!

 Copics:
BOY

Hair: E43, E47, E49
Pink: RV04, RV06, RV17, RV66
Green Bow: YG23, YG25, YG67, G28

To create the background scene, I just used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and swiped them across some watercolor paper. The scallop circle frame is from MFT and the scallop rectangle border around the sentiment is from C.C. Designs.

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: MERMAID KISSES + MERMAID GROTTO

Happy Monday everyone! The Greeting Farm just release 4 brand new stamp sets for the month of July, and once again they are awesome! This card features MERMAID KISSES and MERMAID GROTTO! I love how these two sets come together to make the perfect underwater scene.

I recommend purchasing the coordinating dies for these two sets. It definitely makes assembly of the card much easier when you don't have to hand-cut each little mermaid. For the Grotto, I used a craft knife to cut out the inside so I could attach vellum with the stamped sentiment. I colored the back of the vellum with Copic BG10 and BG13 after I stamped the sentiment which caused the ink to smear a bit. Next time, I would color the vellum first, let it dry and then stamp the sentiment.

 Copics:
MERMAIDS
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, R81
Hair: Black C7, V17, V15, White Gel Pen
Top: V12, V15, V17
Tail: V12, V15, V17, BG10, BG13, BG18
Pink: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09
GROTTO
Green: YG23, YG25, YG67
Yellow: Y11, Y15, YR21, YR23
Purple: V12, V15, V17
Orange: YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09
Chest: E71, E74, E77
Sand: E41, E42, E43, E44

To create the water and sand I used Copic Alcohol Refills on YUPO paper. The inks glide and spread across the paper in beautiful patterns based on the different techniques you use. It's really fascinating to watch.

Dies R Us: Sending My Deepest Thanks!

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm back with a card featuring some awesome Lawn Fawn products available for purchase at the Dies R Us Store. They have a huge array of Lawn Fawn stamps and tons of dies from various manufacturers! They have even added paper pads and inks to their inventory so you can purchase everything you need at one location to make some really AWESOME cards!

 ++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card.

The first step in making this card was to create the underwater scene. I rubbed Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink at the bottom of watercolor paper to create the sea bottom. Next, I added Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon.

I felt I needed an additional blue and settled on Broken China Distress Oxide for the top of the paper. Then I added some throughout the middle.

Next, I spritzed the top with water from a spray bottle, and let it sit for a few seconds.

I then use a paper towel to blot up the excess water. The areas where the water was sitting turns lighter when you blot.

I think the Lawn Fawn Narwhal & Friends Die Set is so adorable and awesome, so it had to come and live with me!! Not only can you create a narwhal, but also a seal and a whale. CUTE right?!!

T

I, of course, had to go with the unicorn of the sea and made the Narwhal! He's so adorable!!

I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Wave Border die to cut a wave at the top of the blue water color paper.

Then I decided I needed a watercolor sky. I just used watercolor paper and watercolor markers and made steaks with different colors. Then came in with a water brush and blended the colors together.

The last step was to assemble it all together! The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn You Are Sublime Stamp Set.

You can see in the side view that I raised the Narwhal on some foam squares for added dimension.
