Happy Saturday everyone! The Cards and Colour Facebook Group has a Sponsor this week. What does that mean? An AWESOME DEAL for you, however it's about to run out!! The online craft store NOT 2 SHABBY is the Sponsor. Not only is she having a $20 Gift Certificate give-away, but she has graciously given everyone in the group a code for 15% off your orders this week only. In addition, everyone who places an order will go into a drawing where there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate!!

So head over to the Cards and Colour Facebook Group to comment on the give-away post (click on the "Announcements" on the left side bar), and get your discount code!!

My card today features the adorable lion from My Favorite Things Wild About You Stamp Set. Jamie at Not 2 Shabby carries a large selection of stamps and dies and she always has a discount! PLUS, she has really FAST shipping, which is always a good thing! I colored the cute lion with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Lion Skin: Y32, YR21, YR23, YR24
Lion Mane: YR23, YR24, YR27, E37
Lion Nose: E41, E42, E43, E44

I used a couple of My Favorite Things Dies to create this scene: Fishnet Cover Up and Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames. The sentiment is from the TGF How Rawr You Stamp Set.

For the yellow, grassy area, I just cut thin strips into the cardstock. I glued the fishnet die into place around the border of the yellow paper, and pulled strips of paper through and curled them with my scissors. Next I took my craft knife and cut off the top of the fishnet. To create the background scene, I used one of the MFT cloud border dies to cut a piece of cardstock. Starting at the top of the white cardstock, I rubbed blue chalk on the edge of the cloud border die-cut. I just keep moving it down and sometimes flipping the cloud border to the back side to get the desired look. Next, I rubbed Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink starting from the middle of the white cardstock to the bottom of the cardstock. Then I took a piece of gray cardstock and tore it to form a rock. I distressed the edge with Black Soot DI, and glued it down.  Now is the time to figure out what sentiment you are using. You will want to stamp that before you start assembling the card.

To assemble the card, I glued the black scalloped rectangle to the fishnet die-cut. and then glued the background scene to the back of the black scalloped rectangle. Next I placed the entire panel onto foam to raise it for added dimension.

Don't forget to head over to the Cards and Colour Facebook Group to grab your discount code before ordering from Not 2 Shabby, This store is AMAZING and the owner is AWESOME!! Believe me, you won't be disappointed!

My card today features this cute set from My Favorite Things called Wild About You. Jamie at Not 2 Shabby carries a large selection of stamps and dies and she always has a discount! PLUS, she has really FAST shipping, which is always a good thing! I colored the cute animals with Copic Markers

I used a few My Favorite Things Dies to create this scene: Horizontal Snow Drifts Cover Up, Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames, and Blueprints 8 (the shape for the sentiment).

I raised every other colored panel on pop-dots, along with the animals and the black scalloped frame. There's a lot of dimension to this card. To finish it off, I added enamel dots.

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: ROCKSTAR ANYA 2

Happy Tuesday everyone! We are back with the last Stamp Features of the New Release from The Greeting Farm. Today we are showcasing this awesome girl called ROCKSTAR ANYA 2! I am totally in LOVE with her!

I knew when I saw her that I wanted to have her on a stage, singing with a spotlight effect. I did one of these challenges a couple of years ago for Make It Crafty and decided it was time to challenge myself again. I first stamped her and then drew in the spotlight area with pencil lines. Next I came in a made a half circle and background lines for the stage. I colored her skin using E51, E21, E11, E13, and E04.

To color the stage I used E41, E42, E43, and E44. I just drew in random lines and softened them with the lighter colors. Then I added the black shadows to her hair using Black 100.

Copics:
Skin: E51, E21, E11, E13, E04
Hair: Black, BG18, BG13, BG11
Purple: V12, V15, V17, V09
Teal Shirt: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
Black Skirt/Boots: C3, C5, C7, C9
Stage: E41, E42, E43, E44
Stardust Stickles (bow, shirt, boots)
Glossy Accents (guitar & skirt)

After coloring the image, I came in with Black, C9, C7, C6, and C5 to darken the areas outside the spotlight. For the lighter area at the top I drew in light streaks with C1, C2, and C3.

To complete the look, I added Stardust Stickles to her bow, shirt, and boots. The purple areas on the guitar and her black skirt got a coat of Glossy Accents to make them shiny. I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the purple cardstock and the light spotlight area.

It looks like Rockstar Anya 2 is sold out in The Greeting Farm Store. I had a feeling she would go quickly. You can purchase her from one of TGF's Distributors. I noticed she is currently available at MarkerPop HERE!

Have an awesome, rocking week!

C.C. Designs: FROGGIE

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all survived Monday with flying colors. It was a bit of a rough adjustment for us coming off of Spring Break, where there were no alarms, and sleeping in became the regular. I'm not going to lie....I pressed the snooze button a few times, LOL!

While the kiddo was at school, I got to play a little and make this card featuring a new stamp set from C.C. Designs called FROGGIES. It also has a coordinating Froggies Outline Die. I LOVE these frogs and the other stamps in this set! I've been playing more with my Distress Oxide Inks. This time I used Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. I rubbed two different colors on the paper and used a wet paintbrush to splatter water on top. Then I blotted with a paper towel. I thought it would make for some awesome frogs!

I did the same with some blue Distress Inks to create water. I used regular Distress Ink mixed with the oxides and you can see it just lightened some areas, but didn't leave the prominent "white" areas. I left it though because I felt it added to the "water" feel. This die from C.C. Designs is not in the store anymore, but it's still one of my faves.

I raised the white panel on pop-dots so it had more dimension. The sentiment was cut out using the Banners Accessories Die, and then took a Copic marker to make a green border.  Lastly I added Nuvo drops to finish it off.

You can purchase the entire March Release in the store at a discounted amount if you have to collect them all (like me, LOL).

Have an awesome week! I'll be sharing some GOOD NEWS soon on April 1st that I'm really excited about so I hope you check back here to find out what it is. :)

Hugs,
Rosie

I love this set! It's perfect for Easter or even a lovey dovey card since it has boy and girl bunnies. I think it's a really versatile set. I used dies from several different companies to create this card. The frame is from My Favorite Things. The grass is from C.C. Designs. The stitched hillside is from Poppy Dies. The sentiment was cut out using C.C. Designs Banner Accessories Die.

Copics:
Bunnies: C2, C3, C5, C6
Ears: R01, R20
Pink Heart: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09
Teal Bowtie: BG11, BG13, BG18
Carrot: YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09
Green: YG23, YG25, YG67, G28

To finish it off, I added glitter enamel dots from C.C. Designs. The cloud paper is from Doodlebug Designs, and the yellow wood grain paper is from Jillibean.

You can check out more inspiration from my fellow DT sisters on The Greeting Farm Blog. Be sure to head to the Store and snatch up your faves because they are selling out quickly!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: FAIRY HAPPY + FAIRY GARDEN

Happy Friday everyone! The Greeting Farm released 4 new stamps on the 15th. This month we took you to the land of fairies with Fairy Happy and Fairy Garden. And who could pass up cute, adorable bunnies from the Enjoy set. Then of course, you gotta be able to rock out from time-to-time with the fabulous Rockstar Anya 2. All of the new stamps are perfect for your cards, journals/planners, gift packages, and scrapbook layouts.

Don't forget to hop along on our TGF BLOG HOP for a chance to take home all 4 sets!! It's a short hop so come join us!

Today, the DT Leaders at The Greeting Farm are showcasing two coordinating stamp sets called Fairy Happy and Fairy Garden.
I LOVE these two sets!! When I saw them I knew I wanted to create a scene featuring a fairy wonderland! I looked at the fairy garden and figured I could stamp it multiple times and cut out various pieces to create my fairy village. It was some work, but in the end it turned out to be one of my favorite cards ever!

There were a lot of Copics used so I'm not going to list them all. If you have any questions on certain colors just ask and I'll let you know. They are pretty much my go-to Copic colors so you can always scroll through my blog to see my usual color combos. Some of the fairies and elements are raised on foam tape for added dimension. To make the clouds, I die-cut a cloud border from a Lawn Fawn die and then used chalk along the edges. The great thing about chalk is that it's more forgiving and you can always erase clouds that look funky and just go over that area again. Easy Peasy!

All of the new stamps are available for purchase HERE. I know you'll have fun with these two sets too!

Hugs,
Rosie

C.C. Designs March Release NOW available!

Happy Thursday!! It's official, the MARCH RELEASE from C.C. Designs is NOW available for purchase, Woo Hoo!! This release is so much fun! There are cute froggies, an adorable gnome, and of course some fabulous characters ready to chow down on some delicious cupcakes!

My card today features all the FROGGIES!! I played around with some alcohol ink and Yupo Paper. What is Yupo Paper you ask? It's a synthetic, tree-free paper that is non-absorbent. It resists buckling with wet media. Because it's non-absorbent, alcohol ink (mixed with some alcohol) spreads across it like water in a stream. If you spritz or add drops of alcohol to the ink on the paper, it causes the ink to disperse or spread. It's pretty cool stuff. The only thing is that you have to let it dry for a while and then seal it (Krylon UV Resistant Clear Spray) so the ink doesn't rub off. It's definitely not something to do for a last minute project, LOL! Check out YouTube for more tips, tricks and inspiration!

I used the above green paper to make my froggies! And then I decided to do an alcohol/yupo background for the water. I used the Banners Accessories Die to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment and the bottom frogs are raised on foam tape.

C.C. Designs Supply List:
