Inspiration Monday--WILD CHILD!

Happy Monday y'all! I'm a little late getting this up today. This past week was Isaiah's Spring Break so we decided to do a family trip to San Antonio, TX to go to Sea World. It was AWESOME! On Friday morning, it wasn't busy at all so we got to get on several of the rides back to back!! It was really a nice vacation and the first time to go on vacay with my hubby's brother and family. Isaiah was in heaven spending all that time with his cousins! He LOVED every minute of it!

The only bad part of the trip was driving back on Sunday. The traffic was horrible and what should have been a 7 hour road trip turned into 10 hours due to accidents and construction! We didn't get home until midnight so we stayed home and relaxed today! :)

Our La-La Land Crafts Inspiration this week is:

Wild Child

When I read the challenge, the first thing that popped in my mind was the song.....WILD THANG.....you make my heart sing!! So that's what I went with when I made this bookmark. :)

I decided to use the AWESOME Lil' Rocker Luka! I colored him with Copics and Chalk and added animal print to his guitar.....LOVE how it turned out!

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, Chalk
Hair: E57, E35, E13
Hat: C7, C5, C3, YG03, Stardust Stickles
Shirt/Shoes: C7, C5, C3
Pants: B91, B93, B95, C3
Guitar: Copic Mulitliner .5, E31, YG03, C3, C5

The amazing animal print paper came from The Paper Studio Sophisticated Safari paper pack. I love the different animal prints and colors of this paper pack! There were 4 different designs in green. All I did was tear the different pieces, ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink, and glue them down.

Then I took black braiding cord and wrapped it around. The black rick-rack came from Walmart. I hand wrote the sentiment, cut it out, inked the edges in Black Soot and put pop-dots behind them. I also raised Luka on pop-dots.

Well folks, that's it for me today! I'm headed to bed! Hopefully Isaiah falls asleep soon because we both have an early morning ahead of us tomorrow. Have a great week and see ya back here soon. Don't forget you can play along with us by uploading your creations to the LLLC Customer Gallery!

Hugs,
Rosie

Inspiration Monday-Easter Card/Project

Happy Monday morning y'all! I hope you had a great weekend! I actually got to have a date night with the hubby and it was really nice! He surprised me by calling one of our friend's to watch Isaiah so we could go out! It was lots of fun and something we need to do more often. :)

Did you see that the Easter Digi's are in the LLLC Store....just in time for you to get started on those Easter projects! :)

So to help inspire you, this week's LLLC Inspiration Monday Challenge is:

Make an Easter Card/Project

For my Easter Tag, I used this adorable little cutie called Luka with Flowers. He's so versatile for so many occasions! I just LOVE him! I colored him with Copics and Chalk.

Copics & Chalk
Skin: E000, E00, E11, chalk
Hair: E49, E29, E33
Shirt: R35, B05
Pants: E53, E31, chalk
Shoes: R24, black chalk
Flowers: Y15, R81, R85, R29, R24, R22, G24, YG17, G28
Vase: C3, black chalk

The kraft cardstock is from Recollections. The beautiful dp came from My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart 6x6 pad....another new LOVE of mine! I stamped the Easter sentiment (from Stampin Up-Eggcoutrements) onto the paper with VersaMark and then rubbed red chalk over it. The XO ribbon is from Martha Stewart and the pink fibers are from AIC Fiber Accents.

I hope you enjoyed my tag! Don't forget you can see more inspiration on the LLLC blog today and on Friday. You can also play along with us by uploading your creations to the LLLC Customer Gallery. We'll do a drawing at the end of the month and you could win a gift certificate to the LLLC Store.

Have a great week my friends! My little man is on Spring Break this week so we get to sleep in a and just spent quality time together....I can't wait!

Rosie :)

The Greeting Farm BUDDIES!

I'm back with my second post for the day!! I'm not sure this has happened in my entire time blogging, LOL! If you are looking for my La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Monday post....see below. :)

Today, I've got something that was just for fun! If you haven't been with me from the beginning of my blog, then you're not aware of my addiction to The Greeting Farm images! They are the reason I started my blog. I wanted to try to win free images by participating in their challenges, and let me tell ya It was LOVE at first sight!

My card today is for TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Spy Day #23. For this challenge you have to case a card made by Grace. I used this super CA-UTE and adorable image from a set called Oliver & Amelia BUDDIES. This, of course, is Oliver and his little puppy.....LOVE him! We don't have any pets, but my little boy Isaiah wants a dog really bad. However, when we told him he had to pick up the poop, he kind of changed his mind! Whew....safe for now, haha! I colored him with Copics & Chalk.

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E02, E11, chalk
Hair: E49, E37, E33
Hat/Shirt: B91, B93, B95, C5, C3, YR02, YR04, YR07, black chalk
Shorts: C3, C5, C7, black chalk
Shoes: B91, B93, B95
Puppy: E55, E53, chalk
Dog Collar: C3, C5, C7, YR02 YR04, YR07

The banner and sentiment sticker came from Echo Park "A Walk in the Park". The turquoise dp came from Echo Park "Little Girl". I actually made the polka dot paper in the background using an embossing folder called 5th Ave Glam Grunge Dots. I embossed it on watercolor paper and then used my finger to rub different colored ink on top of the dots. Each dot got a coating of Stardust Stickles.

The butterfly was made with my Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch. The fence came from Hobby Lobby. The white lace is from The Paper Studio.

That's it for me today! If you get a chance, check out TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. They have some great challenges going on right now!

Have a great week!
Rosie :)

Inspiration Monday-Fantabulous GREEN!

Good Monday morning to ya! Did you remember to "Spring Forward"? We did, but man did it hurt! I felt like I lost an entire day instead of just an hour! Did any of you feel that way yesterday too?

Well, Monday came too quickly and of course, that means another La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Monday. The challenge this week is:

FANTABULOUS GREEN

For my card today I used one of the new CHA releases called Luka with Flowers. I've been wanting to ink him up for a while and just couldn't wait until Mother's Day so here he is!

Copics & Chalk
Skin: E000, E00, E11, chalk
Hair: E49, E37, E33, E13
Shirt: B91, B93, B95
Flowers: R81, R83, R85, Y15, R24, R27, R29, G24, YG17, YG97
Vase: N2, Stickles
Pants: E55, E11, E53
Shoes: B91, B93, B95, N0, N2

The sentiment and dp came from the same sheet called "Lucky Day" from Deja Views. It's got shiny green foil throughout the dp....so pretty! I rubbed Walnut Distress ink around all the papers and added Stardust Stickles to the edges of the papers for extra bling. :)

I used a Marvy Pansy Punch to make my clovers. I just cut the flower edges into more of a clover shape and then added Stardust Stickles on top. The sentiment and Luka with Flowers are raised on pop-dots.

That's it for me my friends! Don't forget you can play along with us by linking up to the LLLC Customer Gallery. At the end of the month, Irina will do a random drawing for a gift certificate to the LLLC Store.

Have a great week and see ya back here soon!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

Inspiration Monday--One for the Boys

Good morning my friends! I hope you had a great weekend! It's Monday and time for another La-La Land Inspiration Challenge. The theme this week is:

One for the Boys

I have a little boy Isaiah, who is 5....my cutie patootie! He'll be 6 in June so this challenge is right up my alley. Surprisingly, I haven't done a "boy" card in a while. It's probably because I do "boy" scrapbook pages so I like to make something girly with my cards.

I had a blast making this card!! I kept thinking of Isaiah and how he likes to watch all the super-hero cartoons and act out being a super-hero. So it was only natural that I would use Star Boy Luka for my card this week.....isn't he the cutest thing ever?!?! He was actually one of the first LLLC stamps I purchased, along with the Super Hero Stamp Set (another fave). :) :)

Copics & Chalk:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, chalk
Hair: E49, E37, E13
Mask/Gloves/Boots/Belt: C7, C5, C3, Copic Multiliner .5
Cape: R24, R27, R29, C5, C3
Shirt: N0, N2, colorless blender, R27, Y11, Y15
Shorts: B91, B93, B95

For my card layout, I decided to use this AWESOME Becky Fleck sketch featured on the CropStop Challenge Blog this week. You still have until Wednesday evening, March 7th, to enter CropStop Challenge #60 for a chance at winning not only a $15 gift certificate to the store, but also Becky Fleck's featured Spellbinder Die.

The CropStop challenge is OVALS, plus use one of Becky's Pagemaps!!

I used Becky's CARD Pagemap for my inspiration. The dps are from a Close To My Heart paper pack called "Superhero" (X7152B). I LOVE this new paper pack!! I even bought the matching rub-ons & badge buttons....sooooo stinkin' CUTE! As you can see, I also used my NEW Becky Fleck Labels & Tags Spellbinder Die featured in the sketch.

Did you find my "OVAL" yet? It's the caption bubble.....yeah, I almost forgot to include an oval so I added the caption bubble which is an oval shape. It came from another NEW Close To My Heart stamp set called "Super Powers" (C1485). It all coordinates, hee, hee!! I'm just so giddy with excitement!!

The yellow star-bursts on the top dp are cut from a Memory Box die called Winged Swirl. I cut out the die first. Next, I cut out a small circle in the middle of the star-bursts and then cut them in half and glued them down.

On the inside of the card, I embossed some kraft cardstock with Cuttlebug Polka Dots and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain. The front part of the card is cut shorter so the embossed polka dots peek out when the card is closed.

I hope you enjoyed viewing this card as much as I enjoyed making it!! :) Now don't forget you can play along with the La-La Land Crafts Challenge, ONE FOR THE BOYS, and upload your creations to the LLLC Gallery. We do a random drawing at the end of each month for a gift certificate to the LLLC Store. You can see more inspiration from my fellow DT sisters on the LLLC blog today and also on Friday.

Have a great week!
Rosie :)
