Inspiration Monday-Tearing

Aaaaaaarrrrgggg Matey, it's another La-La Land Crafts Inspirational Monday showcase for you. If you head on over to the La-La Land Crafts Blog you can see the awesome creations from my fellow DT sisters. :) La-La Land Crafts is posting inspiration every Monday & Friday, so you'll see tons of ideas using the fabulous Marci & Luka stamps. You can participate too and upload your creations to the Gallery! We would love to see your work! So get your La-La Land stamps out and join us in our weekly inspiration. :)

The inspiration today is Tearing. I decided to use one of the brand new stamps called Buccaneer Marci (who was released at CHA)! I loved the Pirates of the Caribbean movies....come-on who doesn't LOVE Captain Jack Sparrow?!?! So, when I saw the theme this week was Tearing....I thought of old maps....which then led me to this cute, little gal.

Today, it also my friend Bety's birthday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETY!! My friend Bety likes skulls and crossbones (not sure why) so since this was posting on her birthday she was part of my inspiration too. Love ya girl!

And it's also Marci's 1-year birthday today!! Hard to believe it's been a year already since this little cutie had her official release day. I remember back in September 2010, I won the entire Halloween release which started my love for these amazing stamps. So stay tuned for birthday FUN, cause our little Marci is finally ONE!! LaLa Land Crafts will be having some blog candy soon so keep an eye out.

The black card base and red cardstock came from my stash. I tore the edges of the map dp (from the Paper Studio) and then rubbed Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. I also tore the middle strip of skulls paper (the Paper Studio) and inked the edges also with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The ribbon came from my stash. The paper doily came from Walmart's cake decorating section. It was originally white, but I rubbed chalk and ink over it to distress it. The white pearls are from CTMH and the large pearl button came from a bag of buttons from the Paper Studio. The flowers are WOC and Recollections. Those black flourishes in the corners are stickers I got from Walmart (I think EK Success?).

Here's a side view. I raised Marci with pop-dots. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I put jewels/pearls in her bag....I thought it added some cuteness to her plain bag, hee hee!

Have a great week! Don't forget, you have until midnight tonight (CST) to enter my blog candy drawing. Leave a comment on the post from July 18th to be eligible. I plan on doing the drawing tomorrow.

Hugs,
Rosie
